vacations with a kids
First I want to clarify that we loved the resort, I went with my husband and 5-year-old son for 2 weeks. My son has autism so the routine for him was key and it helped him a lot to be in the same place with the same people every day. the staff is very nice, they were very nice to us and my son, but sometimes I think they are assigned too many tasks and you can see that they are always running around and sometimes made me feel sorry for them, especially the people in the kitchen. The resort is not that big and I especially liked that because I didn't have to walk long distances to go where I wanted to. I especially want to thank the staff who were very kind to me and my family. I must especially mention Germania (she cleaned the rooms), Andrea (served drinks at the pool), Carlos (entertainment), Marianne (kids club), and Wilenni (towels), they made my stay very pleasant and special. Maybe the only thing that was not to my liking was the weekends, the hotel was full of events such as weddings, cruises, and daily passes, and everything was full, I think the space is not big enough to receive all that amount of people on weekends, as it is a small resort and I saw that they schedule many extra activities and for me that was not pleasant. You had to wait in line for everything, there were no lounge chairs and even ordering a drink was complicated from Friday to Sunday. To go to eat the tables were full, and lines to order food and even water, it would be ideal to only go during the week and not have to wait on weekends lol. Otherwise great.

Good experience at Gran Ventana
We had a great time at Gran Ventana in D. R. We escaped the cold and found a hotel with warming welcoming staff. From the lady who cleaned our room to the servers at the bars and restaurant all tried to make our stay a pleasant one. We rested at the beach, participated in yoga classes (great instructor), pool activities and had long walks along the beach. The food was good and varied and the shows entertaining.
