Good but needs to return back to its hay day.
This is the third time I've been to this resort. The first 2 times were so great. Sadly it has gone downhill. There is less staff, they've done away with the nighttime entertainment shows and the food quality has really suffered. One day they opened it up to locals in the area for really cheap and even the staff stopped speaking English, only Spanish. It's really sad because the first 2 times, this place was paradise.

SAVE YOURSELF - DON’T BOOK HERE!
HORRIBLE stay. Did not even finish our reservation we moved next door to Secrets The Vine after one night. They were apparently going through some staffing issues so there was minimal to NO service. The room was in extreme disrepair when we walked in: the drawers were strewn across the room on the floor, there was a massive puddle of water on the floor, the room STANK of mold and mildew, the phone did not work to make any calls, even to reception, the chairs and all the furniture inside was moldy, stained and peeling. After we went to the front desk and told reception, nothing happened and we ended up cleaning the puddle ourselves. The furniture outside was crumbling and falling apart. The sheets were thin enough to be see through and the matter was stained and moldy. The room had no fridge so there was no way to get or keep cold drinks. The bathroom had no water bottles for use which even the most run down hotels have since you should not drink tap water, even to brush her teeth. The shower water smelled like rotten eggs and the toilet tank kept running after flushing. There was mold all over the closet and the closet hangers were rusted. The room AC didn’t cool the room at all and the coolest the room got was 23 C/ 74 F even as I had it set to 17 C/ 62 F. The grounds were also abysmal. No restaurant or common space had any air conditioning so everywhere was hot. The poor area chairs were ripped and the umbrellas would almost tip over in a strong wind. When we went to the pool and asked for towels, we were told by the person there that there was no hotel staff manning the towel booth at the moment and she was an excursion vendor. After a while, we found and stopped someone to ask for towels and were told they had no beach towels available and couldn’t tell me when they’d have more. The pool area bar had no ice available and there were no ice machines available for guests to use. They had only one working elevator for the whole resort. NONE of the specialty restaurants were open despite being given the schedule of which restaurants were open (none of which were). The only one open was the buffet and we didn’t feel comfortable eating dinner there as I am 7 months pregnant and didn’t want to rush a food-borne illness. When we tried the same spot again for breakfast, the only thing we felt comfortable eating was an omelette since we can see it being cooked. None of the action stations were staffed aside from the omelette station. I asked for tea with cream and had to wait 20 minutes for the cream. When I got up to get it myself after waiting, a staff member asked me what I needed and said they can serve it to us. Then they didn’t have anymore teaspoons, so they gave me and my husband a knife to share to stir our drinks (my tea and his coffee). If you’re thinking of booking this spot, PLEASE DO NOT.

Stay away. No electric
Staff is awesome thats it!!. Spend your money some place else. I would rather stay at a Oasis resort before this place again. Last couple of days electric being on and off from 8 to 16 hours. No other resort around having any electricity issues. We had to leave the resort to go eat.

Enjoyed the holiday and staff awesome
Though the rooms and outside area’s and restaurants where clean, it is a very tired hotel, in need of renovation, to bring it up to standard. Breakfast and lunch was fantastic. Only 3 restaurants, not 4. Strange combinations at Sumo, mash with Japanese food ? Pier 12 never had full menu choices. Old Barn, steak was more fat than meat, only fries or baked potato as sides, no salad. No nightly entertainment either . Buckets in lobby when it rained , no garden bar as advertised.

They just want money and that’s it hotel looks dingy and stinks water leaking from roofs buckets everywhere I would not recommend at all save your money.
