We stayed at the Friendly for a girls’ trip. We are a group of friends in our 60s and stayed two relaxing and wonderful weeks. The Friendly’s inviting and relaxed atmosphere was such a treat. There is a reason this resort is called the Friendly Fun and it lives up to its name. The staff was accommodating and easy going. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and valued. Our room was what you would expect in a resort this age. Beds were comfy and the room was fairly clean. No one spends their hot holiday in their room (I hope) so they are fine. We were on the 9th floor and the view of the ocean was amazing. There was the added bonus of fireworks every night at various locations along the beach. The food was really good. 2 à la cartes, 2 buffets, and 3 snack places around the pools: oven fired pizza joint, an ice cream and fruit place and a snack bar (adult pool). Lots of variety! There are 3 pools: a family pool, an infinity pool, and an adult pool with a huge hot tub. Nothing like a Paralyzer in the hot tub at the end of a long day of doing nothing! All the loungers are 2 people beds with thick mattresses. Most are covered to provide shade. On the beach there are some regular loungers with umbrellas. Sure, it’s loud and busy around the family pool. We expected that. It would be kind of sad if it wasn’t. If you crave quiet, the adult pool is great. There was entertainment or dancing every night, but loud music was done by 11 pm. If you retire early, it’s nothing a little white noise won’t cover. . Thank you, Friendly Fun staff, for everything. We’ll be back!

Front reception area couches coffee tables always dirty. Rooms dated ok though . Breakfast was great, lunch & supper horrible. Went out to restaurants in the evening. Positives: Beach & staff was amazing, also entertainment in the evenings, not those boring shows. They have a coffee bar which was delightful. Over all we enjoyed our vacation.

My husband and I booked this resort for 7 days based off of all the amazing reviews in here. This is the first time we found the exact opposite. Where to start. Horrible service, horrible food safety practices. Dirty and old resort. Front desk lady appeared crusty and put out checking us in. Got into the elevator to go up to our room and the elevator was filthy. Room had zero supplies in it. No bottled water, empty fridge. Floor seemed very dirty. Decided to go eat at the first buffet we came across. The food literally looked like slop. The counters around that food were covered in mess, didn’t look like they were ever cleaned. There were tons of dirty dishes piled high behind the counter. They also had raw hamburgers piled in a metal container behind the counter. No one there, the burgers were not kept cool and actually had a funny color to them. There were pigeons on the counter pecking at the food. And not one person working there walked over to shoo them off. Decided to try the second restaurant. Packed full of local people, we sat down and it took 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. They seemed very concerned about the locals, not so much the tourists. Maybe tourists are not welcome at this resort? We had a bad feeling and decided to walk next door to the Fiesta Americana. What a HUGE difference. Even when we checked out Fun Friendly after just being there 2 hours the crusty front desk girl never even asked why. Would you not want to know why someone left immediately? I don’t know who is doing the reviews on this website for this resort, but either locals or fake ones unfortunately. We are not high maintenance people, but we certainly expect friendly service, clean establishment and safe food practices. Would never ever ever recommend here and filed a complaint with Westjet.

Best trio ever
Best time ever special thanks to Isaac, Jose, and all the bartenders they were all so amazing I will definitely come back here such a great place with lots of activities and fun things to do , I’m so glad we chose this resort , I would highly recommended

5 star for the staff that work here Isaac and Kari are amazing at daytime activities. Super friendly and fun. Waiters Ceci, Lia, and Aaron are also very good at what they do. They’re always smiling and remember what you ordered the day before.
