Apr 25, 2025Exactly what our group was looking for. You can request to be in the same villa.
What a gem of a place. Rooms clean, pool was a little dated but did the trick at the end of the day. Breakfast daily was delicious and the service was fantastic. Lobster dinner was 100% worth it. Can walk to town for so many options to eat. I would stay again.

Nice place
Great location. Our room was very nice-- high ceilings and spacious. It was 3 rooms attached but you couldn't hear the other people. Our room had sliding doors to a nice patio with table/chair and a pool that the 3 rooms shared. Just felt very nice and serene. Continental breakfast was included with ours - had pastries, bread, yogurt, coffee, fruit, juice and you could add additional on for extra (we did two days) but just that was enough really. Easy walk to beach -- we sat in the chairs at one or the places that it's included through the hotel one day (no charge) and it was easy to get seats. Walked Orient beach - nice place to walk. The front desk people were very helpful in giving us ideas of beaches/towns to walk around, restaurants, etc. We had a snack at one of the places we could walk to (Roasty's) but otherwise the restaurants were expensive and we had a car.

Excellent resort with everything you need steps away from Orient Bay and the Ocean
What a lovely property! I would go back in a heartbeat. The accommodations were comfortable, very welcoming and clean. We could hear the ocean waves and the walk was 6 minutes away on a pathway that was well kept. The pool and porch made the whole experience exceptional. The restaurant was outstanding with amazing breakfast all freshly prepared and I no words to say how delicious the dinners were. Surf and Turf Monday was fabulous. The duck and frog legs were exquisite and an amazing wine selection. I really didn’t want to leave. We will be back and we highly recommend this resort.

Paradise
Our first visit to St Martin was in 1999 and we stayed at the Esmeralda Resort. We've been going back ever since. Customer service is outstanding, and the rooms are always clean and adequately furnished. The restaurant on site is amazing. You're within easy walking distance to the Orient Bay Village where you have restaurants, grocery store and all types of other shops. Any time we visit St Martin; we'll be staying at Esmeralda.

Everyone at the resort was helpful and provided good service. L'Astrolabe staff were so kind and the food was wonderful. The room was a good size but needed more comfortable seating inside and outside. Pool areas could have used umbrellas. Coco Beach was great.
