We can’t wait to go back!
Our first time in Mexico and we’re already planning our return to El Dorado! This was our first trip to Mexico, and El Dorado really set the bar high. We can’t wait to book again soon. I’ll admit, I’m someone who really values the look and feel of a resort, especially the rooms. At first, I was surprised — the lobby and grounds are beautifully modern, but the rooms do feel a little dated in comparison. That said, this honestly didn’t matter in the end because everything else about the resort more than made up for it. As a picky eater (and someone who avoids most meats), I was impressed by the variety of food on offer. Normally at all-inclusives I struggle, but here I ate well every day and never felt limited. The vegetarian/vegan labelling could be clearer, though, so it’s worth double-checking or asking staff. The vegan restaurant was a great addition, though its opening hours were limited. One note: there can be some cross-contamination with utensils between veggie and meat dishes, so keep that in mind if it’s important to you. Still, there was always something tasty to enjoy. Tip: Try as many restaurants as you can. The app’s opening times aren’t always correct, so check with reception to plan ahead. My personal highlights were the Gourmet Pub (a really good à la carte), the Seaside Market for a relaxed buffet breakfast, and the Asian restaurant — flavourful but slightly limited for someone who doesn’t eat much meat or fish. A must is the Mezcalito tequila bar. I don’t usually drink tequila, but the cocktails were excellent and the cosy vibe made it one of my favourite spots. The beach itself is quite small and can feel crowded, with loungers taking up a lot of space even when the hotel isn’t busy. This didn’t affect me much, but it does seem unnecessary. In September, there was also a fair amount of seaweed, though staff worked tirelessly throughout the day to clear it, which I really appreciated. Most of our days were spent at the Relax Pool, which lived up to its name — peaceful, lined with Bali beds, and with its own bar. We didn’t try the other pools, but this one was perfect for unwinding. The service is another standout. Every staff member greets you warmly with a smile and a friendly “hola.” Both the rooms and grounds are kept spotless and well-maintained, which really added to the overall experience. For breakfast, I’d recommend the Seaside Market over the beachside buffet (Arrecifes, I believe), as it had a better atmosphere and selection. Overall, El Dorado gave us a wonderful first taste of Mexico. A few small things could be improved, but the warmth of the staff, the food options, and the beautiful setting made it a trip we’ll always remember.

Great hotel with some improvements needed
We had a great holiday at TUI Blue El Dorado Seaside Suites. The highlights were the rooms and general facilities, the lovely staff, particularly Jorge in the personal concierge and the yoga instructor Andrea. We also enjoyed the vegan lunch restaurant Kaab. The food was ok, but could have been better. We are both vegetarian: there were a few options in places but not a great deal of choice. Options were not always clearly labelled on menus and there was some cross contamination e.g. with the omelette station at breakfast I had meat in my omelette from someone else’s dish. Kaab was lovely but was only open twice per week. The dinner buffet and Culinarium were not particularly good. The beach was very nice but there were lots of people trying to sell hats, cigarettes and one man who’d shout at us every time we walked past. As it’s a private beach I would expect the hotel to do more to keep people away.

We Don’t Want to Leave!
Such a lovely resort. I’m currently sitting on the very private patio watching the sun come up through the palm trees, listening to the waves crash, and sipping coffee. It’s our last full day and I want soak up every delightful moment. SERVICE: Let’s all face it, stuff happens when you travel. How it’s handled makes ALL the difference. Johanna, Ricardo, Avril, Front desk manager (sorry I can’t remember her name) handled our issue in a timely and understanding manner. We have never experienced the kindness they showed alongside their professionalism. FACILITIES: The lobby is modern and well appointed. Soaring ceilings and natural light create a welcoming entry to this little slice of the TROPICS. Our room was a ground floor swim-up ocean front (6105). Perfect view of the pool bar where most of the activities happen. Bed is like a cloud, loved the linens and huge pillows. Decor is pleasant, tropical with lovely tile in the bath area. Huge jacuzzi, separate shower, and wc, all behind glass. Frosted glass, but still glass. POOL: surprisingly cool. Especially this time of year. Sparkling clean tile with early morning maintenance workers taking care of this respite from the heat. The activities team LuAnna and the amazing young man who lead the fun made our time so joyful. POOL BAR: carina took care of us both by the pool and on the beach. She never allowed our drinks that Cumi and Ramon made so perfectly. It’s so nice when you don’t have to order, they just pour when you walk up. FOOD: seaside Market has a good variety of items for breakfast (3x) and dinner (1x). They all looked fresh and delicious. The items I could eat (weird diet), were delicious. The build your own smoothie bar is pretty cool. We dined at Mi Casa Dorado last night. We all ordered different menu items and shared tastes because it was all so perfectly prepared and served. What an amazing meal! Klay Tlay tonight. Room service (1x) was fast, HOT and beautifully prepared and served. ENTERTAINMENT: We are no longer people of the night., so I really can’t share much. The one singer we listened to in the courtyard was great and engaging. GROUNDS:stunning tropical foliage that is well groomed. Lovely photo ops throughout the resort.

A great first time in Mexico
Our last morning in the premium suites and we’ve had a brilliant two weeks here, the room was spacious and comfortable cleaned every day and mini fridge and water topped up every day . If you’re one of those people who complains about dark wood furniture then you won’t like it but we just see as storage space and there’s plenty of storage, big bathroom with great walk in shower.Restaurants are great but sometimes one or two are closed on certain nights due to hotel only being half full at best. food is excellent especially breakfast all the staff are friendly and say hola whenever you pass , the golf carts are a great way of getting around if you don’t want to walk and will always stop if there’s space. Alcoholic drinks are great some top brands and the local equivalent brands are also very good.overall a great holiday and great hotel yes if you’re looking for faults you can find some but we will definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to come back.
