Great FAMILY resort.
Great Family resort. Everything we experienced was great. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. We did not upgrade to preferred due to traveling with 4 children. Note-This is a FAMILY resort. If you are looking for a place without children, this is not your place. Our kids really enjoyed all of the access they had to everything from the pool to the game room. We would return.

I had a good time, but don't think I would go back
Pros: Rooms (modern, clean, impressive), restaurants (great food), pool area (fairly large, the building blocks the wind which is nice, it also blocks the sun after 5pm unfortunately too), coco cafe (good coffee and treats), close to ferry to visit Isla Mujeres (highly recommend) Cons: Buffet (not very good, not much selection), beach (not very big or room to swim), price of golf and excursions (overpriced), being pestered to signup for the timeshare (staff is great otherwise).

Won’t go back
This is more of a hotel than a resort. Very small with limited activities. Was there as a family, with kids ages 10,12,14 and 16. Resort is a giant wind tunnel so be prepared for your glasses to tip over. Beach is not great by any means, should have stayed near the hotel zone for a better experience

The good, the bad and in between
Cons: Very disappointed that the reservation was not willing to work with me to shift dates around because due to an emergency I had to arrive 2 days later even though they had empty rooms to extend my stay by 2 days. The beach was not suitable for swimming because there were too many weeds. The sales person was pushing hard for selling a timeshare membership. Generally, the hotel is overpriced for what it offers. I will not book with them again and don’t want to lose BIG money because of unforeseen circumstances. Pros: Lots of activities for kids ages 5 and up. Very clean rooms and room service through the app is really nice. The service staff was very courteous and accommodating. The food is decent. Generally, this is for those looking mostly to take activities outside the hotel and leave their kids for daycare.

Great Family Vacation
We just got back from this resort a few days ago, my family and I stayed here for one week. This was my kids first trip to Cancun and our families first time staying at this particular Dreams resort. All in all the resort itself and the staff were great. Room: We stayed in a room with a plunge pool and preferred club. If you can swing it definitely get the preferred club upgrade. In my opinion it was worth it. The room had two comfortable queen sized beds which worked for our family of four. I will say if you have older kids the shower might be a bit awkward since you can see through the top section however most of it is not. The room was cleaned very well every day and mini bar always restocked. The room itself had some wear and tear however nothing that bothered us too much. The ocean view was AMAZING! Pools/Beach: If you go during spring break or busy times be prepared to grab your chairs early. I went down at about 7 am every day as I was always up and grabbed our chairs. I even had one day where someone cleared our stuff from a beach chair and tried to take it for themselves. Which was strange but I politely told them we reserved them early and have been using them all day. There are lots of chairs and umbrellas but definitely not enough to go around. The kids water park area was great of offset from main pool. My kids 8 and 11 both enjoyed it. Pools were clean and clear. The beach was always being maintained however there is not much beach to walk down. Staff were always around to help when needed. Shortage of towels could be prevented if people wouldn't take 10 towels, I saw people with families of 4 with at least 2/3 towels for each person. Food/Restaurants: The food was above average for a all inclusive in my mind. The buffet was constantly being stocked and was always hopping. Staff were always working hard to refill food, clear tables and get people seated. The dinner restaurants do have a dress code and is enforced for adults so be sure to read over them. This is pretty standard practice for all inclusive. The beach side taco and burger stations were amazing. The crepe station was a hit and they always had a kid station stocked with kid friendly options. We managed to get a table our last night at the Teppanyaki table and that was definitely the best. We enjoyed the Vista Prime preferred club rooftop as well. Room service was okay, always very busy to wait time was usually over an hour. Entertainment: There was always something to do for adults and kids it seemed. The pickleball court was hopping most the day. Make sure to reserve your time if you want to play. There was volleyball, soccer, beach and pool activities happening frequently. The nightly shows were super fun for the kids and adults. I wish they would make sure to have adults sit in the back for the shows as it became really hard to see for the kids trying to see over adults sitting up front. Even had a very rude lady try and sit right in front of my 8 year old so her and her kid could see and expected my kid to move even though we were there first. The fire show and magic show were my kids favorite shows. Drinks: There were plenty of bar stops to go around and plenty of staff making sure you were always getting something to drink. Pool/beach side drinks when at peak times can take some time as there are lots of people. If you want it quickly go grab it yourself. Check-in/Out: This was a breeze especially with preferred club. Major appreciation to the staff who helped find my daughter. My family had a scary ordeal where my daughter got separated from us in the stairs/elevator area. I immediately starting yelling for her and told a staff member. My husband ran up and down the stairs looking for her. Within minutes I had a manager out, radios going, photo being blasted and a minute or two later I was told they already had her and she was on her way to me with staff. She came out of the elevator with multiple staff who had found her and were already working on finding us when the call went out. Tip they gave is always teach them your room number. Thank you to the staff who were so calm and got us reunited so quickly. We do not normally travel during spring break and this did remind me why. Be prepared for lots of people. I prefer going when it is slow season but we ultimatly had an amazing time. The one thing I will say is they do have staff there trying to get you to buy into their "loyalty program". We listened to the 90 minute ordeal because we wanted the resort credits to use towards our excursions that we wanted to book. They say it is no pressure however there was definitely pressure to join/buy in. In the end we said no and went in saying why we were there but would give them their time. We got our resort money once it was all done so they stood by their word. If you do this be sure to be firm about how long you will let them go on for because I heard some where there way longer then us.
