Was staying at Secrets, but used the different restaurant's here as it was the sister hotel.
The Asian restaurant and the sea grill restaurant on the beach were managed by the same woman, who was very professional and a credit to the hotel. Food was excellent and we ate there a few times during our stay. We also loved the Bulgarian restaurant, we both had the lamb and it was delicious, so good we had to complement the chef. We were staying next door in the secrets hotel, but loved using these restaurants during our stay. We also loved the outdoor evening bar there and wish we had one at secrets.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
We just returned from a stay at the DREAMS SUNNY BEACH RESORT ET SPA hotel, in BOURGAS 20.09.2024 really it really does not deserve 5 stars at all!!!!...A FUIR!!!! Even if at first sight the hotel seems pretty Repetitive and horrible food, Most plates are not clean with every meal...People were sick during our stay, a elderly gentleman hospitalized due to food poisoning due to fish. For a week we ate almost nothing so bad and we were starving, even poor quality fruit and vegetables... uncooked meat, everyday the same things reheated or processed. The noon restaurant looks like an old fast food that lived...a la carte restaurants are closed. Near the pools (cold) tiles are broken , it is very dangerous , cold spa pool; The beach is very far,( on the luxair catalog it was indicated "beach nearby) the hotel is huge , complicated for strollers and people having trouble walking.. unfriendly staff, no smile , nor anything .. nobody speaks French and very little English ..except at the reception; In the room it's carpeting ...., the shower stand was broken ...the bedding lived. the sofas near the main bar are very dirty, dishes and food hang out all over the corridors.... Sad breakfasts, all pastries are dry, hard without any taste. The fruit is not ripe. Unattractive entertainment and uninteresting evening shows; There is nothing to do in this hotel, you have to take a taxi or bus to find .. I would not recommend this hotel at all, ever again! LUXAIR TOURS should visit the proposed hotels to see the deterioration in the quality of stays.... We expressed our dissatisfaction to the guide luxairs, she did nothing at all, not even called us back... I also specify that she is for nothing except sell excursions. A customer manager of the hotel passively listens to our complaints and takes us from above after showing her the disgusting reception sofas she turns her heels. ABSOLUTELY NEVER RUN AWAY AGAIN.

Very good family hotel a bit away from the hustle and bustle
Since we have had only good experiences with Dreams and Secret Hotels in recent years, this time our choice fell on this gem. The hotel is subject to the typical Dreams flair. It is located away from the sunny beach hustle and bustle at the edge of the hotel zone. The place is in top condition, clean and despite the size not crowded. Our room was probably one of the best in the whole hotel. (Frontal sea view on the top floor) And thanks to the Preferred Club package you also have a lot of benefits. Preferred Club Louge with cool drinks and appetizers all day. Pool towel service in the room (which you need to know beforehand), breakfast in your own restaurant with table service, preferential reservation in the a la card restaurants, own pool area etc. The pool area is a dream and huge. The own children's pool with 3 different slides and water playground is also top. The hotel's beach section is a bit off the hotel but also fine. The food in the restaurants is good and varied. But there are also a few complaints. We're used to something different from room service. No towel folding art, just so that the bed was made. Here is something more appropriate to do justice to the Dreams standard. Then there is the matter of drinks at the various bars. Here the hotel should focus more on branded drinks as the cocktails were sometimes cruel. All in all it was a very nice stay at this hotel and we will definitely come back. A big thank you goes to the concierge for the super great room and to Tina who speaks very good German and is always available with advice and deeds.

Full & Frank
When my brother suggested in June a fortnight holiday to Bulgaria at the end of September, I think I could be forgiven for having strong feelings of trepidation as to what to expect from a European destination of rather dubious renown. However, in for a penny in for a pound (the deal for 2 weeks all inclusive was just far too good to pass up. On arrival, Dreams is set within its own gated grounds, surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. The hotel is huge and conveys its shear size automatically. It is well designed in its layout and extremely comprehensive to navigate, especially for those travelling with children. The public spaces are large, well appointed and quite comfortable (no faults so far). However, probably due to a very busy season, things are beginning to look a little tired and the phrase “shabby chic” would be apt to use. Do not let that put you off though, it’s nothing a lick of paint and some TLC cannot readily and speedily rectify. The rooms, I could not find fault with. They are generally large, spacious and uncramped with commodious storage facilities for your luggage and clothing. The beds are large, very comfortable and clean, which I think for Brits abroad is one of our deciding factors for a good holiday. The bathroom was simple and elegantly designed, also very clean with a shower that is quite addictive to stand under and enjoy as you prepare for breakfast or your evening meal. I could not find a fault with Dreams in this department. Now let’s come onto the grounds and pool area in general. You could be quite forgiven for feeling, as you look from your balcony into the rear portion of the hotel’s grounds and overlook the pretty park towards the pools and the azure of Black Sea that you had wandered into some Italian nobleman’s palazzo on the Italian lakes. They truly give the hotel its ambience of relaxation and elegance. There are 3 main pools with a fourth designated for small children. Each pools has its unique atmosphere and conveys a sense of intimacy and seclusion due to the excellent design and layout. Despite this being a very large hotel, I was struck by the thought that each pool had a sense of privacy and seclusion that could be found. You certainly won’t feel like a slab of meat laid out in a row under the sun. Well done to the designers on this front alone. This is certainly top hole! Now let me come onto the dining aspect of a holiday at Dreams. Obviously food is very subjective due to our varying tastes, likes and dislikes. However, I would honestly rate the food as follows. Breakfast 8, Lunch 6.5 and Dinner 5.5 at best. The food is not poor quality, but it suffers from monotony despite their being large islands of various types of food on offer. What makes the situation worse for the dining, is the very tepid and lukewarm at best temperature that all food is presented to you. Despite there being a daily change in food to choose from, they are all generally rather samey in taste, which could be forgiven somewhat, if it was served hot! Despite these faults, we have to remember this is mass catering for people from across all European nations and there is always certainly something one can find to dine on adequately to sate one’s hunger. No doubt, like yourself you’ve heard about the service being poor, substandard on occasion downright insolent? I have to say during my 2 weeks at the hotel, I did not come across a rude or aggressive member of hotel staff. On the contrary, I found the overwhelming majority of the staff here at Dreams to be very friendly, helpful and willing to do their best to make the stay pleasant. I’d actually like to commend Veronica and Kat on reception for their wonderful thoughtfulness and customer service, these two ladies really do deserve medals for their attitude and hard work. However, a very special mention must be made about Tina in Guest Services! She is A1 and of the First Water! Truly expcetional in her well honed customer service skills, nothing is too big or too small for this lady when dealing with British fastidiousness and often fussiness. She deserves a huge bonus from her employers for her outstanding professionalism and is tepid as I’ve previously mentioned and due to the seasonal occupation of the majority of the hotel staff, the place suffers quite severely from a lack of attention to detail in service and probably due to a lack of there being a fully trained cadre of permanent staff and department heads. This is something that could very easily be rectified by the owner investing in their staff and providing good quality hotel training. So instead of you feeling like you’re getting a 5 star service in a 5 star hotel, you’re often left with that nagging sensation that your being served by a university student who’s mind is not on their actual job, but on other matters. That is why I’ve awarded 4 stars. If the food and service were a tad better, and there’s certainly potential for this hotel to improve to become a wonderful instead of just a good destination I’m sure it will warrant 5 stars here very soon.
