Not so Dreamy
The hotel grounds were beautiful and the views incredible. The rooms were a bit below average for the expectations seeing as it’s listed as a 4 star hotel (pictures were hung sloppily, the curtains had stains and what appeared to be mold on the handles to open/close, bathroom had leftover hair and was untidy, the commode didn’t operate properly and would run for about an hour after each flush, and the bedding was dirty . The restaurants were not accessible (hours and days opened varied) leaving you with few options for dining outside of hamburgers and French fries or a buffet. The food was often over cooked. Service was extremely slow and they seemed understaffed in the restaurants. They had drink menus with items they could not make due to being out of ingredients. The location is far from the city which has pros and cons. The beach is very rocky and roped off where you can only go in up to your thighs. I would not visit again, but Panama was beautiful.

Find Another Resort
Resort is old, food is okay, long wait times for dinner. I would not waste my money on this resort. Rooms are old and cleanliness was not there. Staff was helpful but it was not worth the money. Please find another resort to stay in. It was very much basic.

Not a good experience
I would not recommend this resort until significant modifications and upgrades are completed. The staff is completely reactive to issues and not proactive to find solutions. The guest rooms need significant upgrades and repairs, our toilet was broken and the door jam to enter the room was extremely rotted away. We travel once a year with friends for an annual vacation together and this one was memorable but not in a good way. The food service needs modified and staffed adequately. the GM and directors have a communication problem with scheduling venues and events to ensure they are deconflicted and meet the guest needs to be a positive memorable moment.

Blood on Towel and Other Concerns
My family traveled to the resort in January, and had a very disappointing experience. There were a few pros, so I'll start with those. Pros: VERY kind and welcoming staff. When we were able to get in touch with the staff, they were very kind and tried their best to be helpful. The Italian restaurant had great food and drinks! Kids Club had great staff who were friendly and had great activities for the kids! Cons: Cleanliness--Upon our arrival, we went into our room. It looked a little outdated; however, I wanted to be sure to give the resort a chance and understood all hotels may not be the newest. Unfortunately, we (2 adults, 2 children) had only two towels in the room and the refrigerator had not been restocked with drinks. We spoke with the staff about needing more towels and headed to the pool. After hours at the pool, we returned to the room to shower; however, nobody had come to provide us with those extra towels. We tried to call the front, but nobody answered. After waiting for quite a while, my husband went to the front desk so we could get our young kids showered, clothed, and ready for dinner and bed. I was pretty frustrated at the lack of access to the staff via phone and continued to call to see if they could at least have the towels ready at the front. My husband had made it to the front desk by the time I got in touch with them, which they acknowledged. When he returned with the towels, he opened them up and noticed BLOOD ON ONE OF THE TOWELS. At this point, I was VERY disturbed and we immediately tried to get in touch with the resort. My husband went to the front, and they were very apologetic. At this point, I wanted to leave; however, we had no options for flights or other accommodations. My husband returned with new towels, but at this point I was on edge with nearly everything else. I was hoping the other aspects of our stay would make up for this very disturbing situation; however, the drinks at the pool were watered down. We couldn't get in touch with room service and had to call the front desk to get service (which would also take a while to get in touch with people). The food options were limited, and the buffet made me uneasy with cleanliness (we had to start making sure we were one of the first ones there). There is a nice restaurant that is Adults Only. My husband and I had to wait so long for a table that the Kids Club eventually closed and we had to forfeit our table and go to the Italian restaurant next door. I asked for 4 towels by the pool for the 4 members of my family but was told I could only have 2. (Fortunately, they allowed me to have 4 after that first experience of only being allotted 2.) Despite the cons, we tried to make the most out of the trip for the sake of our kids. We made use of the fusboll and pool table in the lobby and made ourselves have a great time! The managers were very apologetic regarding the blood, but there was little done besides having a fruit platter sent to our room with a note. We've been waiting to see if there is anything that can be done after our very uncomfortable stay and are still waiting to hear back. Unfortunately, it's been nearly a month, and we haven't heard anything.

Beautiful Resort - food and service mediocre
Rooms were nice with a beautiful view of the ocean 🌊. Drinks were good and plentiful but service was a bit slow. Food 🍲 was good in the various restaurants and buffets but I would say mediocre to other places we have stayed in the past. There were activities every day and night and a movie 🎥 was shown every night outside. The swimming 🏊♂️ pools were the best. The kids could play in the two foot pool and the adults could sit and cool off. There were other pools that just flowed from one to another, one had a volleyball 🏐 net and the other was an infinity pool. We took a trip to Gatun Lake and the Panama Canal to see the monkeys 🐵. We also got a closer look of the locks and watched an IMAX 3D movie. I was sick for 2 out of 5 days. Others were experiencing the big D too.
