    Sushi class

Took a sushi class at the dreams natura resort. It was a quick fun experience to learn the proper way to make a sushi roll. The next best thing was we got to eat it afterwards. Jeremy and Popeta were great teachers and the event staff were fun interpreters!

    Excellent choice for spring break!

We are Unlimited Vacation club members and had nights to use at a 1:1 property. When traveling with our kids we like to go to Dreams Playa Mujeres as we've found that to be an excellent choice for our needs/expectations. I researched high and low for a 1:1 that would come close to meeting my picky expectations and Dreams Natura came through! Check in: We arrived and were greeted with a glass of champaign and the kids a blue sprite (which became their favorite drink all week) and check in was hassle free. Our room was not ready but we had lunch and looked around the resort and in no time we were in our room and ready to start our vacation. Room: We were in 3819 on the top floor. Our room category was "tropical view" and we did have a view of the mangroves as well as Royalton Splash next door, however, we very much had a nice ocean view in that room. The room was well equipped and we thought there was a pull out couch but it did not pull out so they brought a roll away bed. Food: We thought the food was better at Natura than at Dreams Playa Mujeres. So many options and nobody went hungry. Bordeaux is adults only but they allowed us to eat at Oceana and order of either menu since we had the kids with us. The food at Bordeaux was so good. French onion soup, short ribs, salmon, chicken were favorites of ours. The sushi at Himitsu and brick oven pizzas at Portofino were big hits too. The kids ordered room service pizza a couple nights and it was very good as well. World cafe was great every morning for breakfast and make sure to ask for Timeteo as your server. He is the nicest guy and the best way to start your day. He was the first person we interacted with when we arrived and the only one we went out of our way to say goodbye to. Such a bright shining smile always. Entertainment: The nightly shows were lacking for us but we weren't bothered because after being in the sun all day and having a drink or two in the lobby we weren't staying up too late. They use their lobby as the "theater" which is strange. People who have rooms close by complain of the noise and i can see why. Our room was perfect and we never heard anything. The poolside entertainment was fun. The team really does a nice job getting people engaged. My 12 year old daughter won the poolside bowling and she was so happy with the prize! haha. The zip line was fun but my kids 12 & 13) only did it twice. You have to be between 95 and 198 lbs. The water slides were surprisingly fun and fast. I enjoyed them! Beach: The beach is nice but the water is gross. We knew that going in so there was no surprise or disappointment. Beach volleyball was fun and the sand is nice. If you look out about 50 yards, the ocean is really pretty but close up it's so gross and full of seaweed. We went to Isla Mujeres for the day to Mayan Beach club to enjoy the pretty beach. We left the resort at 8:30 am and arrived back at 11pm. We never saw any crocodiles that are mentioned often. I know they exist but we never saw them and the staff does a great job keeping watch for them. Service: Everything was "it's a pleasure" and they don't tell you no. Our housekeeping was hit or miss but it didn't bother us. Pool service for drink was great despite it being spring break and what seemed like full capacity. Restaurants were a tad slow but again, we expected that. We learned from the first night and would have our kids put our name down right at 5:30 so we didn't have to wait long. If you go after 6 or 7 plan on waiting a long time. Overall, we had a great time and would return in a heart beat. Our kids said they like Natura better than Dreams Playa mujeres in all categories. It's a lot less expensive so that is good to hear! I have to agree with them as well. If you are on the fence, don't hesitate trying this property.

    Fun family vacation

Overall, we had a great family vacation and the kids loved it, we would definitely go back. We loved how small the resort was and how everything was right there. Our kids are 9 & 12 and not once did we hear I’m bored! They loved the lazy river, they met kids there and pretty much hung out there all day. Soccer on the beach was also a big hit for our 9 yr old son. The food for the most part was good. We LOVED Himitsu. We were lucky to get a reservation. I don’t really understand that process, I was the 3rd person in line on Sunday morning, and the majority of the week was already booked! The pool chairs definitely went fast in the morning! I was down there every morning around 6:15. I would get chairs, head to Coco Cafe and back to the chairs to enjoy the sunrise and quiet! There was quite a few weddings during our week stay! Usually there were multiple weddings in a day! I think there was only 1 maybe 2 days that there wasn’t a wedding! The rooms were so musty, it was hard to breathe! We started leaving the patio door open during the day to air it out, which helped tremendously. I highly recommend bringing a couple DampRid bags, unfortunately we forgot to pack ours.
