Excellent service
Mercedes was our server in the Perferred Beach Club area today where we spent the entire day and he was excellent! The drinks were amazing and his service was fast and friendly! He was busy all day and he made sure we were always full on drinks doing well! I Recommend the Preferred area 10 out of 10 with Mercedes!

good and bad
in my opinion resort was average. Rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable. the couch is showing its wear. The adult pool/bar was great for quite times in the afternoon. Ezecele was a one man show. Taking orders for food and drink, making drink while suggesting new one if asked and delivering. Restaurants seemed to be understaffed. Waiters were scurrying around sometime forgetting food or water. World cafe which was the buffet food was cold unless cooked while waiting, but they did have smoothies to order. Portofino had Lasagna that was not hot but their pizza was amazing. Wished they served pizza at lunch but they were only open for dinner. Seaside grill was great for breakfast lunch and dinner. Carlos served us dinner realizing it was my birthday. We left after dinner and he came running after us with a plate that they had written Happy Birthday with icing on it. Had some cake and a sparkler type candle on it. Barefoot grill staff and food was great for lunch. Coco Cafe was good for snacks, coffee, ice cream. Bordeaux and Oceana had good food and service. Beach was very nice to walk but not swimmable. Firepit was a plus with entertainment in the evening. Thought it was strange that a Mexican resort didn't have a Mexican restaurant. But they did a Mexican show closer to the beach which included a Great Buffet (and food was hot) with Mariachi band and Mexican show afterwards. Unfortunately, it was a cool night and people were getting their coats and left right after eating. We saw that they had propane heaters in storage. They should have used them so people could have enjoyed the show. They also had current movies by the beach but no one was there because it was too cool in the evening, while we were there, probably for most shows by the beach.

Othon, Nirvana, Meìrcedes, Juvicente were 10 out of 10 for poolside experience!
Overall this is a great family resort with a lot to do with kids. Loved that the resort was quiet after 11 pm for sleeping kids. The staff were amazing everywhere. Good selection of restaurants, with 2 being 5/5 (Bordeaux, and the new sea food restaurant). There was some active construction during the visit, but it was not too distracting. Poolside service was very good, with shout outs to Othon, Nirvana, Mercedes, and Juvicente who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. It was an amazing resort experience.

Amaretto Sour
Great Service, wide selection of drinks. Overall loved every bit of it! Please ask the bartenders for their recommendations, they will give you the best drinks. We ordered our usual drinks for the first couple days, but everything changed when we asked for the recommendations. Amaretto Sour, AMAZING!
