Nice Resort!
Great stay at the Hilton La Romana Adults only resort. Grounds are beautiful including numerous pools with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. While chairs/lounges were a bit tricky poolside, we normally had no problem beach side , especially in the Enclave section. Huge shout out to the person (Jose?) on the beach who tracked down chairs if and when we had any issues. Terrific service. Staff were pleasant and engaging (especially when test-driving your rudimentary Spanish like I did!). We had a partial ocean room in Enclave. Rooms were functional, but a bit tired and in need of sprucing up. Hats off the cleaning staff though - who did an excellent job during our stay. Food was plentiful with lots of options from buffet, to Peruvian to Italian. The Adult only section gets access to the family side which increases the options which is a nice perk! Folks in our group did experience a few tummy issues but this can happen when traveling. Be sure to try Chinola - authentic Latin American fare served in an outdoor restaurant complete with a cultural show. You feel like you’re in the rainforest:) Lots to do with complimentary kayaking, snorkelling and even a water park on-site. Beautiful, well-maintained pickleball courts were also available (and not busy!). Courts have a private club vibe with fresh towels and your own cooler of cold water (a surprising treat!). We did an snorkelling excursion to Catalina island that included two snorkling locations, time at the private island, and a cruise down the Chavon River. Snorkeling was pretty good from various coral from star to mustard, stingrays, a starfish colony and endless schools of tropical fish. An outstanding experience largely due to the tour company Scuba Caribe and their fantastic guides Fernando and Pedro. Nothing was a problem and everything was met with a smile:)

Service is beyond reproach!
This was our second trip to La Romana. We are already planning our third and fourth! We appreciate the great service of the hard-working people at this resort. Be sure to visit Reina and Wander in the adults Enclave lounge! You won’t be sorry!

Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay
My mother and I stayed at this hotel after coming from Punta Cana, and the experience was wonderful. Getting here was a bit challenging, though. We initially planned to take an Uber from my cousin’s home in Higuey to La Romana, but three Ubers canceled on us. Thankfully, my cousin was able to drive us herself. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted with drinks, and the staff took care of our luggage. There was a minor mix-up with our reservation, but the team quickly resolved it. I’m so grateful they allowed us to stay in the same room for the duration of our visit—moving around would have been a headache. After the party-heavy vibe of Punta Cana, this hotel felt like an oasis of calm. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, which was exactly what I needed. I spent most of my time catching up on rest so I could feel refreshed for work back home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and, as always with Hilton, the rooms were spotless. The dining experience here was top-notch. I ate at nearly every restaurant except the Japanese one and was impressed with the quality and variety. My least favorite was Ausangate, the Peruvian restaurant—not because the food wasn’t good, but it just wasn’t to my taste. On the other hand, Moustache, the French restaurant, was a standout! It was my first time dining at a French restaurant, and I absolutely loved it. The grill was also amazing, and the buffet was exceptional, especially breakfast and the Dominican-inspired lunch options. Azzurri, the Italian restaurant, didn’t disappoint either. The spa was another highlight of my stay. I did the water therapy treatment, which included steam rooms, a pool, and a hot tub. It was lovely to have the space to myself and enjoy a peaceful escape. Unfortunately, I didn’t spend much time at the beach or pool—I was focused on relaxing indoors. The coffee bar was convenient, but I wasn’t a fan of the Santo Domingo coffee they served. It’s a popular choice in the Dominican Republic people drink it religiously, but it just wasn’t to my liking. Still, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. One small disappointment was the lack of Hilton-branded merchandise in the store. I saw staff wearing Hilton hats and really wanted one as a souvenir, but unfortunately, they weren’t available for purchase. Despite these minor things, I had a fantastic stay. The food, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were exactly what I needed. The staff was so helpful, especially when it came to securing a ride for me—I was worried about being stuck without transportation, but they handled everything. I also made a few new friends, which added to the fun and laid-back vibe of the hotel. I’m already missing the amazing food and relaxed atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

A positive experience would consider going back.
The room.was small but adequate. The bed and pillows very soft.the toilet was within the bathroom. Would have liked it separate. Adult pool area small not enough beds or pads.we spent most time around family pool which was lovely and spacious. Food good.

Great Caribbean hotel which exceeded expectations
Lovely complex. Food was plentiful. Staff were lovely and pools were warm, although the pool at the waterpark was a lot cooler which was so refreshing. Will return as I enjoyed my holiday here. We upgraded to enclave when we arrived which was cheaper
