Mar 26, 2025Happy customer happy stay. Living my best life in hotel luxury 🛁✨
Upon arrival, staff was right there to help with our luggage. We travelled with Air Transat, airport checking process need fixing. Only 2 officers to serve over 100 visitors. Family with kids waited over 3 hours. That’s very sad 😞 and need more on staff to help with custom. I know this is not the hotel 🏨problems but you can pass this message to the authorities. A rum punch upon arrival or a cold drink would have been nice! Next time 🥤 . Overal experience was amazing. From the bar tenders, to the beach club, breakfast staff our maid was just FANTASTIC. Managers on site was very helpful. Miguel from the breakfast area was constantly asking if we ok. Would recommend this hotel 🏨 to everyone. Thank you Vanessa and other front desk staff to be so happy, polite and service skills over the top. Vanessa was truly amazing 🥲 and very accommodating. My room view was EXCELLENT and that made my STAY very MEMORABLE. LOVE ❤️ ROSE 🌹 Beach 🏝️ was good.

Excellent stay
Dreams exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable as was the bathroom. I was attending a wedding so only ate breakfast at the resort, but the choice was ample and there was lots of fresh fruit.

Relaxation at its best
Fantastic stay. My husband and I recently stayed here for a week, and had a great and relaxing time! ***Relaxing is the key word!! We have been to multiple resorts and this is one of our all-time favorites. The food was really good and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The resort was beautiful, with multiple swimming pools. Like all Dreams properties, we have found all of the staff to be amazing and willing to go above and beyond. My husband absolutely loved the delicious fish options available every day at every restaurant on the property! I enjoyed the vegetarian options available too. My favorite was room service for breakfast! I enjoyed trying boiled pumpkin, which I had never had before. I also really liked the soup and salad options at the Seaside Grill. Most of the time we stayed at the main pool area. Twice we took a golf cart ride down to the beach, which also had a separate pool with an amazing view. I think I preferred the pool by the beach the most because it was close to amenities and yet you still felt that it was spacious. It is was less active than the pool by the rooms. My favorite was the bar with swings on the beach! *Really great bartender by the way! We took the shuttle into the city twice. At first it was a little intimidating in a new city trying to navigate, but it was really quite simple once we got the layout. The resort is about a 20 or 30 minute ride from the city, but my husband and I really appreciated the nature and spaciousness. In the city we loved the modern art museum and the gold museum. I loved that our room had a bathtub and a balcony too! My husband loved the separate shower and mini bar. The entertainment staff was fun- my husband tried the guided bike ride and we both did some games with the entertainment staff. The morning yoga was a hit! We aren't really into evening shows, but they had fabulous ones to offer. I would sit on our balcony and enjoy the live music or dancing. Lots of fun energy! Comparing this Dreams location to others I have visited, this one felt really spacious in all ways. This is also an excellent location for complete relaxation, which is exactly what I needed. It's a really easy and relaxing property. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful
I enjoyed my time the food in the buffet could be better Portofino resturant was amazing. Jonathan in entertainment was great. Jose D the waiter by the pool was on point. Room service can do better they always forgot something when you order. Other than the above overall stay was amazing.

Mar 23, 2025Had a good week at Dreams Karibana
Overall we had a very nice 7 night stay at Dreams Karibana. The staff are friendly and very hardworking especially the Entertainment team and the waiters at the pool. The immigration lineup at the airport was one of the slowest we’ve experienced in the world (3 planes arrived within 2 hours and only 2 immigration officers working), we got out in 2 hours but I’ve read it can be as bad as 4 hours, so be prepared. We took a $20 usd taxi to the hotel as the Air Transat liaison told us the prearranged transportation had to wait for 8 more guests and we were already beyond exhausted. We had a ‘preferred club’ tropical view king room booked and ended up on the 5th floor with a view of the golf course and pools, so we were very pleased with that. Room was very spacious, bathroom was also very nice although a bit old - tub had some stains and underside of sinks had some mold visible. Hallway carpet was badly stained and there were gaps in the seams. There is also an overpowering scent being blasted in the hallway and the lobby, we assume to counter the mildew smell that many guests in the past have complained about. Foodwise - went to the buffet for breakfast and lunch which was fine except for bbq day. There was a very long slow lineup for tough chewy beef and small pieces of chicken. The other items in the buffet were consistently good otherwise, especially the quality of the fresh fruit. Sometimes it was hard to get a free table so we tended to eat early to avoid the rush. Oceana restaurant is a short walk away and a golf cart ride back, food there is worth the trip, especially the fish dishes. Portofino was our favourite but requires booking ahead. Overall, the food is high sodium with quite a lot of fried items and carbs. Drinks were good. At the adults only preferred club pool area, the service was very good. Otherwise, it was a while before we got our drinks as the hardworking waitstaff have a lot of ground to cover. The ‘preferred club’ is supposedly for adults only but on 2 different days there were teens in the pool. Also there is no way to tell if adult guests were ‘preferred’ or not as they don’t use wristbands just plastic cards, so anyone could use the adult pool as long as they looked old enough. The preferred lounge was meh but quiet, food there was minimal. I don’t think preferred club was worth it, to be honest. There’s a free bus to the walled city at 3 pm, returning at 7 pm. We did a free (tips only) walking tour with Beyond Colombia, that fit that schedule perfectly.
