Not worth the money
Room was always clean. Hot tub on the balcony had parts that would blow off when you tried to use it. Food service is terrible. Beach and the 2 pools get very crowded and are extremely small. We waited nearly an hour before we were even seated for meals even the buffet until we complained to management. Then on the last 2 days for dinner they reserved times for us and they tried too hard and were staring at us while ate making it uncomfortable. I don't drink alcohol due to medical issues and they nearly served it to me twice when ordering a non alcoholic beverage. For nearly a 9000 dollar vacation I expected way more. I would not stay here again.

Was just “meh”
Let me preface this by saying I have travelled to Mexico, in particular the Riviera Maya area 10+ times. We went to this resort for a wedding. This is not a resort I would have picked on my own to travel to and I would not go back. First, the employees are all wonderful. Everyone was kind, worked hard and truly wanted to make us all happy. This resort is just too small. There aren’t a lot of activities happening, and after dinner, there really isn’t anything to do. They don’t have a lobby bar or any area where people can sit and have an after dinner drink. It’s very odd. I have never experienced that before. There are no bars. Only restaurants. There is a nightclub, but not many people in it when we were there. They had a silent disco one night, but again hardly any people took part. I’m wondering if it’s because this is so family oriented that most people go to bed early. The pool: the pool is way too small. It’s the tiniest pool I’ve ever seen in a resort. There are two waterslides for kids off to the side but that’s about it for things to do for them. There is a small games room as well. The food: the food here is really not good. I will go as far as to say it is the worst food I’ve had at any resort ever. The breakfast and lunch buffets were terrible. They lacked variety and options. Some of the food was either luke warm to cold, some of it totally over cooked and chewy like the hash brown potatoes etc. The salad bar had like 6 things on it. I have never seen a buffet that bad before. I barely ate anything for lunch when I was there and I would not consider myself a picky eater. I had to force my daughter to eat something at lunch. There were a couple of weddings when we were there and I have to wonder if travel agents are receiving extra kick-backs for booking weddings here. This honestly is not a place I would want my wedding to be. So for those of you thinking about having a wedding here, I would read reviews and make sure it’s what you and your guests would want. When planning a destination wedding, it’s not just about you…(the bride and groom). You are asking your family and friends to spend their hard earned money and take time off to come on this vacation with you. You need to pick a place where it can cater to what everyone’s different perceptions and expectations are of what a vacation means to them. Some people like quiet and like to relax and read a book, make sure there is a place for them to do that. Others like a more fun-filled vacation with access to different activities etc., makes sure the place caters to that as well. Some people like to stay up after dinner, and have some drinks and dance etc. Make sure there are options for that as well. Or atleast a lobby bar of some sort. The one thing that is pretty cool is the gated town that this resort is in and the fact you can walk around in it. We ate lunch and dinner there once because we really weren’t loving the food here. We shouldn’t have to look elsewhere though to eat, after spending thousands to be there. Overall, this place left a lot to be desired.

Amazing family hotel
Thd most amazing hotel....staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and our super king bed was so comfortable. The views were great from most rooms...you can explore the hotel and see all around. 5 minute walk to the harbour to see stingray and pelicans, and next to it is the dolphin discovery so you can see the dolphins, manatees and seal there...you can swim/feed them too if you pay. Lots of food and drink choices within the hotel, and lots more within a 5 minute walk of hotel. The staff clear the seaweed daily, so the beach and sea are clean... lots of fish to see...the beach is man made, so not proper sand and only a couple of inches deep. 10 minute walk from the hotel takes you to the public beach which is slightly bigger with real sand.
