Nov 20, 2024Perfect hotel in great location
There is nothing not to like about Divi Southwinds. Pool area lovely and clean with plenty of chairs. Beach area again has lots of chairs on a lovely beach. Nice bar/restaurant on beach price for drinks a bit pricey but they have 2 happy hours every day. Great managers cocktail party every Tuesday with free drinks and nibbles. Rooms have everything you need and are spacious and clean. Great location on The Gap But by far the thing that makes this hotel stand out from other hotels I have been to is the staff always smiling, helpful and friendly from the maintenance man, room cleaners to management always a hello/good morning.

poor service. it seemed like we were putting them out when asking for fresh water. tea/coffee often took a while to arrive. at one point it took 38 minutes for tea to be server after asking a number of times. poor Quilty of food not enough choice. staff seemed to have an attitudethe rooms were very basic. house keeping very poor.poor service in restaurant. poor hygiene around hotel. rooms not cleaned on a daily basic. towels often late in room. first room had a leak in the Ceiling had to be moved rooms not help in doing so.

Great self catering small cosy apartments, have everything you need for a great stay, plenty of storage, safe and air on. KItchen well equipped and we do a lot of self catering. the fridge has a great ice maker in it and plenty of room. The room was serviced regularly although we did lack sugar, coffee filters and towels, we mentioned this to reception there after no problems. the fan broke, it was repaired so so promptly. we love the guy who covers his hair who cleans the pool, he is so friendly as is tyrone and the girl who work in the activities/towel room, they are all so friendly and welcoming and help to make your stay. we enjoyed tuesday cocktail evenings a nice touch to meet people. PUre OCean is great value and lovely food recomend you try it. The hotel has three absolutely gorgeous pool and also loungers on the beach so so much space to choose from, one of the pools is down by the beach and so QUIET. There are many activities including mini golf (good fun), tenis etc, and games in bar and pool room. All in all a fabulous place to stay and on the bus route and very central. this was our d visit and back next year. my only complaint check out, a rude man on reception he is always there) took pleasure to tell us the hotel was full, we could keep our room to 12 he made this look like an honour. also he said as the hotel is full there was no where we could change / shower, his attitude and lack of understanding that this is a waste of a whole day of holiday was shocking, if you don’t have a late flight i would highly recommend the hotel. we are worried about the booking we had already made before this came to light.

Great vacation in Barbados
We again enjoyed staying at Divi Southwinds. It’s in a great location, close to St Lawrence Gap, but secluded enough to be quiet after a night out. The upkeep of the facility is evident, the staff does an excellent job of maintenance and is very friendly and helpful

Good location, staff and spacious.
The location of this resort l is prefect for if you want lots of restaurants close by to choose from! It is not far from Bridgetown and the airport. The resort is located next to a beach and that is where the hotel main restaurant is located. The resort itself is very nice with a golf course, spa, 3 outdoor pools and a convenience shop all on the property. The staff are absolutely lovely very friendly and attentive to your needs. The La carte breakfast menu is amazing!! I would go back simply for that. The staff were also very nice and respectful and recommend good things to try. My own complaint is while the resort is comfortable the bathrooms need a complete renovation. It is very small and the sink is located outside the bathroom in between the living space. The wardrobe needs to be renovated, the room just feels a touch out of date but I will say the kitchen is fully equipped. I would highly recommend using Ezra (contact: ezb.qin@icloud.com) for airport pick up and drop off. While on the island we used him for an island tour and it was a wonderful day for a great rate. He is very detailed in his tour and also very friendly with a lovely AC van to keep you cool while on the trip. Overall I would recommend this hotel due to its location, sizeable rooms, friendly staff and food!
