    Nice vacations, nice resort

    We were at Desire RM first week of April 2025. We did have a good vacation and it was overall a good experience. Here are some details. New section The new main building with the reception, the jacuzzi, spa, disco, etc, looks fantastic. Looks rich, sumptuous, beautifully well done. The new spicy pool is large, with lots of chairs or beds, and it is warm Too warm in fact, it's not even refreshing. It's not an issue getting 2 chairs in the morning, but most beds and some chair are all reserved for Premier members. There are always some activities every days around the spicy pool, and the animation teams is working hard to entertain the guests. Food Food is very good at Desire, no complain on that. At the buffet there is a good variety either for breakfast or diner. Not a lot of each, but a good variety. The place itself is starting to show it's age. It looked to me like in didn't change since I was ther in 2007. For lunch you have many choices to go to. Either the beach grill, the Tentazione near the quiet pool or the Eros. Food was good and tasty and they have many desserts. Non members have access to 3 specialty restaurants, Sahlo, Suki and Kahlo. Service is excellent in all 3, and you have upto 5 services. Very nice classy well presented meals. Our only complaint is that there are some stiff extras for some choices like a steak or a lobster. Thing you have for free in less pricy resorts. Rooms and premises We had a Deluxe Garden View room. It was conformtable and clean, but looked nowhere near what you see in the resort photos. Yes those room exist, but our was outdated. Hot water sometime takes a long time to come out and water temps can vary a lot. The older portion of the resort is very clean and well maintained. The quiet pool is a great place to relax. Entertainement You have a show every evening at the Melange bar. They are great with acrobats and dancers, but get a little repetitive over a week. There is a nice and large disco on the second floor, and music is generally good. Every nice there is a great ambiance at the disco. The minus sides Service around the spicy pool seemed unequal to us. Unles you are willing to tip, wervice will, in general, not be so great. The other negative point is towels. This resort need to buy more towels. If you go to the jacuzzi in the afternoon or evening, you quickly find out the no more towels are available. Same thing in the play room, were they quickly run out ot towels, and it seems no one go aroung to replenish the racks. Special notes For us, 2 employees need to get a special note. First, Afrika serving aroung the spicy pool. She's the exception to what we wrote earlier. Always there, smiling, and giving great service to every one in her section, wether you keep tipping or not. Second, Leo at the water sports and volleyball court. Very freindly, fun to be with. He always make sure everyone is having a good time on the beach volleyball court. I had a great time playing with him.

    A fabulous concept, beautiful people

    We go several times a year for the lifestyle concept, shows and themes in the evening. There are naturists, vanillas, swingers, all dressed up. Couples of all ages. In our experience, we find people classy and respectful. The staff makes all the difference. Many thanks . WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED: ❌The variety of food at the dinner buffet ❌BUT ESPECIALLY CLEAN BEACH. It breaks my heart that this hotel does not have a tractor to collect algae. Cleaning is done manually. The beach is covered with dry algae for much of the day and even throughout the day. It’s a shame for beach lovers and those who paid for a villa or room with ocean views.

    It was a unique and unparalleled experience. From the moment we arrived, we received excellent service from the young man at reception, Christian, a very friendly and efficient person. The place allows you to get away from it all and enjoy the amenities.

    Fabulous Vacation!

    From the fun Theme nights to the engaging parties that The Playmakers (Mariana, Leyda and Mauricio) throw for guests, this is the best resort! The bands that play and get guests up to dance, the delicious food and many fun restaurants, the amazing large jacuzzi and great disco! Those are some of the reasons we return twice a year! But we LOVE the service and the bartenders! Abraham, Marcos, Augustin, Cellus and Edmundo made our vacation complete!! Always smiling and working so so hard during the many parties! These guys never stop! See you guys in October!

    Can’t wait to come back!!!

    Our first visit to RM was quite different from our previous stay at Desire Miches. Right off the bat, it felt less upscale compared to Miches, which was a bit disappointing since we enjoy a touch of luxury on our vacations. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were placed in what seemed like the least desirable room in the resort—Room 1011. It faced the trash area, had a sewage smell, and we struggled with no hot water. When we approached the front desk, they mentioned they were fully booked but could move us on the second day. They were very nice about it, and I’m sure would have moved us immediately if they could have. Honestly, the base rooms here felt more like something you’d find at the Red Roof Inn. I highly recommend upgrading if room quality is a priority for you. On a brighter note, the staff were fantastic! A shoutout to Jenny, the bartender at the beach bar—she really brought energy to our trip. We also had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with Ruben, who was incredible. Ask for him specifically! He made us look like models, and I couldn’t help but tear up when I saw the photos. I also had hair and makeup done, and they did a wonderful job. We didn’t spend much time at the large pool since it was hard to find a chair, but the quiet pool was awesome, and Ivan, the bartender there, was attentive and friendly. As for the food, it was just average with the exception of Suki has a Rock Shrimp that is to die for. The coffee is also great at Addiction and there is a sweet barista named Edgar we really liked. All things considered, we had a great trip and are already planning to come back. We're even considering a timeshare, as this might become our go-to vacation spot in the future. I want to to be clear, we aren’t swingers, it’s just nice to be at a place like this because the people are open minded and friendly. If you are on the fence, just give it a try!
