May 07, 2025Not worth the money
Most of the staff was amazing. Highlights were Maria, Nayelly, and Jerry in the crown club lounge. They were very attentive and remembered what we usually ordered.Bellman Jesus was amazing. He went out of his way to help make our stay more enjoyable and always had the biggest smile. We had a very enjoyable dinner at La Piazza thanks to our server, Alexis. He handled our table of seven with a smile. The filet I ordered was not good. Alexis apologized and asked me if I would like something else. My new plate of lasagna arrived quickly and was delicious. The steak at the steakhouse was absolutely horrible. It was extremely thin and fatty. Our experience at the Mexican restaurant was subpar. The host was extremely grouchy. My daughter and her fiancé were late to arrive for a reservation. We were already seated when they arrived. He asked them what time their reservation was for and what time is it now. Then opened the door for them and didn’t even show them to our table. The food in the restaurant was good and our server was cordial. The buffet was just ok. They need more variety. One morning my husband and I went for a late breakfast and they were very busy. They seated us at a table that had just been cleaned and didn’t have any silverware or napkins yet. No problem, we went to get our food. We came back to our table still bare. They quickly brought me coffee and I asked for silverware. He said just a minute. My husband asked for silverware when he sat down, still nothing. Our food is getting cold. I watched them bring out clean silverware and take it to a table that had one person with no food yet. That person asked them to wipe the table. So they went back to the station to get a cloth. Now my food is completely cold. I just walked out without eating or drinking my coffee which lead to a headache. The best part of our trip was our time together as a family. There were nine of us all together, eight adults and one three year old. We spent time at the family pool and then would head up to the adult pool when the little one went down for a nap. The adult pool lacked entertainment. There was only one bartender and the bar closed early. I’m used to the entertainment staff line dancing by the pool or having fun games to play. Also there is no food anywhere near the adult pool. Although we had an enjoyable time over all, I will never return to this resort.

This hotel was such a disappointment… Pros: - Bunk beds were a great choice so the kids didn’t have to share a bed - My 11 year old loved the water slides Cons: - Randomly got left off the bus and had to take our bags and find reception ourselves. Normally we’re used to someone there to greet us. - No rooms are ready before 3pm. It makes no sense that there were at least 20 families waiting for their rooms and then all of a sudden all of them were ready at 3pm and not before - There is not enough shaded area around the pool. My husband had to go down at 5am every day to reserve a chair in the shade. Not what we wanted to do on our vacation! - When we were there they had just eliminated reserving for the restaurants. So you would either have to eat at 5pm or wait in line for an hour to get in. - Other than the seafood restaurant, all the food was bland and repetitive. Nothing had any flavour and there was barely any variety at the buffet. They do not serve bacon at breakfast, no cheese at lunch, and no fruit at dinner. - The beach area is very narrow and the waves are super rough. That’s why the pool areas are so crowded, because you can’t go to the beach with small children. - We needed some extra cash and neither of their ATM’s work. We were told to take the bus to the local bank. - There was nothing special for Easter other than an Easter egg hunt where they had one egg for every ten kids….so there were a lot of sad kids after that game!

The room service was a little slow. Food was always fresh and they were usually quick to serve you at the table when seated. Robert at the bar was always fast and remember who I was. Staff was very nice Alexis from the Italian restaurant and Jesus the bellman we’re excellent

Great family vacation
Jesus was our bellboy. He was amazing and super attentive he even called our room on our departure day to make sure we didn’t need any extra help and our times had not changed he was genuinely happy to help and had our concerns taken care of right away

Enjoyable Vacation Spot but Needs Some Tweaks
The Crown Paradise has lots of activities to keep adults and kids busy such as pool-side games, aqua fit, kids club and nightly shows. The rooms were clean and had a beautiful view. Except for the front desk staff, the rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Especially Yenelly and Julio at the buffet restaurant, and Carlos at the Italian restaurant. They are amazing and deserve a raise. As others have mentioned you have to get up very early in the morning to get chairs by the pool. We were only able to get restaurant reservations for the first 2 nights we were there. The rest of the time we had to show up and wait. It was hit or miss whether we would get a table. The food in general was below average except for the omelette bar. What bothered me the most was having to chase down staff to get bottles of water for the room. They are supposed to provide them daily but that didn’t happen. Also, I got the run-around on whether or not staff could blow up pool floaties. I was told no whereas other guests were able to get it done. The inconsistency was very frustrating.
