Yearly Vacation
We stayed for the month - had a great stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint was the chaos at the night show. We are members and seats weren't reserved for us no organization. We love coming to this resort and stay a couple times a year.

Good food, family friendly but some safety issues
We went here with our three boys (age 10, 7) for their first family vacation. Overall we had Good: -lots for the kids to do -we enjoyed the food, both buffet and restaurants. Mexican and Seafood restaurants were excellent. The ladies making the omelettes for breakfast were excellent and hard working -beach was really nice with some fun waves -pool temperature was very refreshing Bad: -unfortunately one of our boys got his fingertip severely injured in the room door. One of us was opening the patio door to put stuff outside, as he opened the room door to let someone in. The strong wind ripped it out of his hand and crushed his fingertip on the opposite hand. Yes they have a sticker on the door saying to not have both doors open at the same time but expecting a child to read every sign on a door before opening it is a poor excuse. We had to make multiple visits to the onsite doctor throughout the rest of the week to have a hole drilled in his nail to relieve the pressure, which we had to pay for. So for anyone travelling here with young children, PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THE ROOM DOORS! Ours was lucky to not have his little finger severed. The dangerous doors is obviously a know issue that could be solved a self-closer. Instead our poor kid couldn’t go in the water anymore and was in constant pain for the rest of his vacation. -their website indicated that kayaking and biking were included but when we inquired with the concierge they said that the website is outdated and those activities are no longer included.

Family Vacation
We are members and stayed for the month! This is our 4th year in a row. We stay 1-2 months a year. Everything was fantastic lived our favorite staff Jerry and Maria and Carlos on the 8th floor- Jesus always greets us helps us with Luggage and we catch up. From maids to servers clean and helpful! Yazmin and Nancy who always make our accommodations. The only down side this year was entertainment organization- no reserved seats for members and chaos in there. Once the show started was ok. Also they could use more chairs and covers at the beach. Looks like they are working on keeping the sellers off the stairs and off the beach. Lots of upgrades. Good is getting better 🩷

Crown paradise cancun
Jesus the bell man was absolutely amazing. He helped us get to our rooms. He asked us how everything was going every morning he saw us. After the fire happened near the kids pool on January 29th that my husband and friend put out, he checked on them to see how they were doing.

Really missing the other resort I normally go to.
This was a last-minute booking, so I was not able to get my usual resort at Cancun hotel zone that I go back to every year for the past 8 times in a row (Wyndham Altra), but I had been to Crown Paradise a couple of times (2014, 2016) with my kids and so I was somewhat familiar with how it might be. Unfortunately, either my memory didn’t serve me well, or things have really gone awry with the resort. First of all, some of the staff (Carlos - 8th floor lounge, Johnny - beach, David - a.m. Buffet, Emily - hostess, and many others who I have forgotten their names) were AWESOME!! …these people were saving graces for us each day. The 8th floor lounge was what we looked forward to the most and spent most evenings up there… would have liked more hors d'oeuvres though… when they did restock the station it was awesome — especially the ceviche. And the poolside treats (sushi and burger shack) were yummy — though I am not sure why I had to keep asking for wasabi, and why it was often unavailable ¯_(ツ)_/¯ ...Some other staff at the resort, however, were not friendly and did not seem happy at all (especially front desk and some buffet servers)… I had not experienced such sad faces in Cancun hotel staff before this visit. Now to the things that didn’t work so well: shower in room needed a permanent towel dam to stop the flow of water to the rest of the bathroom; had to beg for water bottles, and they even tried to charge us for the water even though it was three days into the trip that we first asked; no chairs at the poolside due to people reserving numerous chairs for hours without using them until late in the day — except for once when we went out at 7am to put towels down in a great spot — only to find that we were 6 feet downwind from a large cement ashtray for smokers who lit up the minute we sat down, then had to immediately move from this choice spot because I am allergic to cigarette smoke — this, despite the strict law with penalties and signs all around the pool banning smoking in public places… people were actually smoking all around the poolside (??? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ ); the food was not at all what I had gotten used to at Wyndham Altra — this was particularly disappointing — and no bacon unless you asked for it, but when I did was often told “there is no more” — as well as no maple syrup - container there but empty and was told “no more maple syrup;” pool tables in bar were uneven — balls would simply roll with the slant of the table; not easy to get down to the beach — long narrow stairs from the pool area — very difficult for people with mobility issues; not good attention to cleanliness of overall resort — food plates/trays would sit for hours outside of rooms and pool area and indoor spaces; card key dept deactivating (several times); atrium noise very loud; couldn’t go into pool for early dip until 8am due to maintenance…. Overall, very happy to have the last-minute booking at a price that was somewhat economical — but I sure did miss the quality that I have grown accustomed to at Wyndham Altra… sorry, but it’s the truth.
