  Excellent hotel that is centrally located. The staff are very helpful .

  The hotel is very conveniently located and the standard of accommodation is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful. In particular Jock and Novajoy went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience of our stay there. Would highly recommend.

  Work Stay

  Stayed here for work. Very nice hotel. Ther is a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, safe and a mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was included for us, a lot of variety but the hot stuff was room temperature it even that. Brilliant staff and good location

  Great stay and location

  Myself and my mum stayed for a night at the start of the year and we had a great stay. Easy 10 minute walk from the station, simple check in and lovely clean room with nice comfy beds and clean bathroom with nice toiletries. We had a bottle of prosecco too 🙂 Breakfast was great too.. plenty of choice and all hot.. had to wait for a few bits but it was a busy time. Late check out was useful too.

  While Edinburgh is magical, the stay at Courtyard was anything but.

  This hotel was the only option available in Edinburgh for my select dates. It's very nicely located, within walking distance to restaurants and Old Town, as well as shopping and the Royal Mile. It's also just next door to the Edinburgh Playhouse, and we did see a show there during our stay. I've stayed at Courtyard properties in the US, so I had an idea of what to expect. This stay, however, really disappointed my best expectations. It began with no accommodation for my pre-confirmed special request of a two-bed room. The manager argued with me that the request had not been communicated to them by Costco, even standing his ground when shown both the Costco travel confirmation, as well as a pre-stay email confirmation. The hotel was sold out of two-bed rooms when we arrived, which forced us into staying in an Accessible room, and forced my companion to sleep on a rollaway bed/cot for the stay. It's not what we paid for - or had previously confirmed - but we made it work. Other than the good location and adequate free daily breakfast, there wasn't really much else positive about the stay. The second day, after struggling with the overly-warm room, we were told our thermostat had been mistakenly "locked", not allowing us to adjust the temp. It was better once the lock was removed, but we were quite frustrated this wasn't done initially when they assigned us the room. The room was on the 5th floor, close to the lobby and elevator, so it was quite noisy too. While the visit to Edinburgh was wonderful, and I plan to return to beautiful Scotland again, I'd most likely find another property to stay at during my next visit.

  Fantastic hotel

  We stayed here as we were going to see Joseph at the Playhouse . Very central hotel near to all amenities . Staff were so helpful , nothing was too much trouble . My last visit was pre lockdown and it wasn’t a great experience I had a waiter drop breakfast dishes ruining my new Ugg boots breakfast then wasn’t great . This time however was such a vast improvement breakfast was delicious and a very varied selection , there was something for everyone. I would recommend this hotel to everyone on this occasion it was faultless
