This is by far the BEST resort I've ever been to. The staff are incredible (especially the entertainment team, Charlie, Paulina and Abraham, Diego, Nico, Mateo) they have made our time here unforgettable. We are frequent travellers and have been to many resorts all around the world and Catalonia Royal Tulum is the best, Ricardo at the bar is the MVP. You have made our vacation unforgettable and we will 100% be returning. The food is top tier, service is prompt and always with a smile, the guest services are so happy to be of service. Truly the best vacation we have or likely will ever have. We love you!

My review
This resort was absolutely incredible. Every part of it. The people, beach, food, rooms, bar drinks, entertainment team, everything has been perfect. So thankful for this experience. Charlie, Paulina, Abraham, Diego, Nico, Mateo from the entrainment team have been incredible. They have made it so much fun. We will definitely be back. This is by far my favorite vacation destination and we will be back.

A beautiful hotel set on a stunning beach great food and lovely staff
My daughter and I had a fabulous 10 nights at CRT After a long journey from the UK, we arrived to a glass of fruit juice and a cold hand towel. A mariachi band was playing in the reception. What a relief and how glad we were to be there.We were upgraded to a spacious newly refurbished room which was lovely. The beautiful pathway leading through the jungle grounds occasionally glimpsing the wildlife along the way, led to a wooden bridge lit at night to the pool area, some restaurants and the stunning beach. We ate in all the restaurants except Bloved as we hadn’t upgraded to privileged, each restaurant was different and all the food was excellent. We enjoyed our buffet breakfast and lunch at Palapa by the beach each day, which was fantastic. Questabel and Angeles there were so kind and helpful, an asset to the hotel . All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the entertainment led by Diego was fun. They did not hassle you if you weren’t interested. The hotel is such a great location for exploring the local areas. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

A wonder time in Tulum
We just got back from an amazing stay at this resort, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch—the rooms, the beautiful grounds, the beach, the food, and the entertainment (Rauxa was a real highlight!). As a gay couple, we felt completely welcomed and comfortable showing affection in public, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The service was fantastic across the board, and upgrading to Privileged was definitely worth it. We loved having access to BLoved and the exclusive beach area—it made for a more relaxed and personalized experience every day. Overall, we had an incredible time and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

I’m a travel agent and recently visited Catalonia Tulum with a group of 10. This was my first time at this resort, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. Pros: • The resort itself is beautiful, and the beach was pristine. That’s about where the positives end. Cons: • Zero entertainment or atmosphere – It felt like a retirement village with absolutely nothing happening during the day or evening. • Cheap alcohol – Even with the “Privilege” upgrade, Skyy Vodka was the best they offered. • Awful food – The only decent meal was at the Privilege restaurant; everywhere else was a disappointment. • Wild animals everywhere – These raccoon-like creatures (I named them Mercats cause that’s what they resemble) roamed freely around the resort. While I understand they’re part of the environment, their presence was excessive. • Rooms smelled strongly of mildew – The odor was overwhelming, and even our suitcases smelled like mildew when we returned home. • Horrible room placement – Despite requesting for WEEKS that our rooms be near each other, we were spread across five different buildings. The response from staff was dismissive at best. I was embarrassed that I booked this for my group and would never send another client here. If you’re looking for great service, entertainment, and quality amenities, look elsewhere.
