    Choose another resort - poor quality of services (food quality is at the lowest level)

    Unfortunately, our experience in this resort was an unpleasant one. Firstly, I would like to highlight the positive aspects of this hotel: the nature is spectacular (the beach is very nice, clear water and beautiful palm trees everywhere), the resort gardens are beautiful and they really take care of the environment, staff is friendly and polite overall; After you see the outside of the hotel, things are not so nice anymore: on the hallway you will be hit by a strong smell of mold, the walls are cracked due to the humidity I guess; The same smell of mold is also present in the room; The rooms are not so clean (the clean service is done around 2/3PM, so if you intend to rest in the afternoon, probably you will not have the room cleaned in that day - we experienced that). I would have been able to pass over this things if at least the food was good, but WASN'T - TRUST ME!! We suffered from food poisoning in our 3rd day and ended up at the doctor with strong need of intravenous treatment (symptoms: nausea + vomiting, chills, dizziness and intestinal problems) Our entire vacation have been destroyed by this episode, due to the poor quality of food. We've been on medical treatment for the rest of the holiday. This hotel has a very very high score for nothing!! I strongly recommend to the management to improve the quality of all of the services that they are offering, especially the food quality. It's a shame that we payed a lot of money to not be able to enjoy anything because of the poor services.

    Beautiful resort, food is disappointing.

    We selected this resort based on location, the ratings and reviews. First off the resort itself is conveniently located 15 minutes from La Romana airport which makes it easy to get to after your flight. The beach is stunning however, you have to go down early to reserve a chair despite them telling you it goes against the rules. The grounds and rooms are kept very clean as the pool area is also kept very clean. We were extremely disappointed with the food and drinks, food was always cold, not much selection and nor much flavor and drinks were not consistent even the orange juice sometimes tasted watered down. We decided to go to an A La Carte restaurant one night and we got ill, after speaking with other guests it appeared that we were not the only ones. I would suggest you bring plenty of medication with you. We were not looking for a resort with plenty of late night entertainment and this was perfect for us as the entertainment was always over by 10:30 p.m. This suited our travel plans fine and after being ill entertainment was the last thing we wanted. Just a heads up that if you're looking for late nights this is not for you. Also, if you're looking for a culinary experience this is also not for you. Be careful of the rep. explaining that a cab costs $5 to get to Bayahibe, tell the cab driver you want to see the rates before you get in.

    Animation team 10/10

    The highlight of our stay was the animation team! They were absolutely amazing—full of energy, always engaging, and making sure everyone had a great time - especially Pamela, Fernando and MorenoFeo. From morning activities to evening shows, they put in so much effort to entertain guests of all ages. Highly recommended!

    Don't waste your money!!!

    Where do I begin? First, let me say this: we are members at a resort in Mexico & while we do get better alcohol, specific perks, etc. EVERYONE gets treated extremely well & with respect (members or not). SERVICE: Absolutely horrendous. If you're not a member of the resort you will be treated like garbage. We tip extremely well (when it's deserved) and this place was ridiculous. RUDE snobby workers (except for Luis at the pool bar - super amazing guy. Very polite and seemed to actually enjoy his job - he got the majority of our money). I was told at the front desk when we checked in that guys had to have closed toed shoes for restaurants but women were okay with sandals or flip flops. We attempted to go to our reservation for dinner and I was told I couldn't wear my sandals with my dress bc they were opened toed...... Here's the kicker - EVERYONE else had on open toed shoes (including some of the men)..... Of course they were members so apparently they get to do what they want and don't have to abide by any rules. Not to mention the night before NOBODY said anything about my shoes. Buffet on the family side: we went for lunch. I had shorts over my swim suit (others had on similar things), the SAME lady who sat us tells me 10 minutes later that I have to leave bc my shoulders are exposed and someone complained. WHAT?! The food: absolutely horrible. No flavor and barely a 2 out of 10. Literally the best meal we had was on our excursion! Drinks: Absolutely NO consistency. NONE! Luis at the pool bar was the ONLY person there to make a consistent drink and there is even a menu of specialty cocktails. How do you have a menu but can't make the drinks on the menu? Spa: Had a massage scheduled for 1:00 pm (even written down), good thing we went early because they told us our massage was scheduled for 12:30 pm so we would have missed it. Got a 25 minute massage - the ladies who gave the massages were amazing and very polite. The room: We had a swim up room. The room itself was beautiful. The maid was amazing. Our Excursion: We booked the Bayahibe Runners through Amstar and it did NOT disappoint! Probably the best excursion we've ever done! We visit different places at least twice a year and we will NEVER come here again. All 4 of us that came were ready to leave half way through the trip. We have NEVER had such a horrible experience to the point where we wanted to actually go home 3 days in. We based our stay off of the reviews that we read but now I see that they were all likely written by members. You could offer me a free membership here and I would laugh at you. Absolutely the WORST place we've stayed in the last 4-5 years we've been traveling. On that note: If you're old, like bland food, boring entertainment, and snobby people - this is the resort for you........

    Really lovely stay so far, staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Beautiful food and a relaxing setting. 🫶🏻 Lovely Valentines Day so far 💞 Katherine has been amazing with all our queries and Leudy and Juan Carlos are the best 🫶🏻..
