    Enjoy Italian cuisine. Located on the beach in the Catalonia Gran Dominicus area, next to Bloved and with a private area for Catalonia Royal La Romana clients. Covered open air. Dress code: casual during the day and long trousers and closed shoes at night.

    Beautiful hotel

    Our room was lovely, very comfortable. Cleaned 13/14 days. Would have liked a kettle rather than coffee machine. Beach was beautiful. Did get up early to reserve a space, but had an early morning dip some days. Gardens are lovely. I thought the food was ok, my partner liked it. We both enjoyed the Italian. Our least favourite was the Asian which had the same sweet sauce squirted on every dish. There were some we didn't try.

    Honest review from someone who was severly displeased with DR in the past

    Go here. As a couple who travelled to DR in the past and the experience was subpar we have decided to give it one last chance. And it paid off..this hotel exceeded our expectations BY FAR. Everything was awsome!! Staff super friendly, funny, chatty and to our service at all times with every single question we had! Not going to mention hotel property grounds etc because, we are talkin dominican here.. 🤩 Food super good, large variety Rooms and accomodation modern spatious and always clean. Tips: try sushi at the beach bar All in all there are no words or pics to do this hotel justice so overall...GO HERE 😍 you won't regret

    Best of the best

    This is a beautiful resort.We have been going to the DR for 40 yrs and have been all over this island and this hotel is definitely amongst the best we have stayed at.From the room quality,the service to the food quality as well as the superb staff this was a very enjoyable stay.If youlike the beach they have one of the best we have been on.Thanks to all at the CATALONIA Royal. We will see you in October.Best wishes to all.

    A week in punta cana at Cataloina La Romana

    The resort offered a lot of variety lunch and dinner options. Lots to do at the resort and shows were good too. We stayed at the adults only. But shared amenities with the family resort and they offered great activities for them too. Amaury and Miguel was very nice and took care of us!

    Pretty property, poor food/drinks

    There were many nice things about this hotel, but it didn't feel very convenient or inclusive. There were too many limitations on food options/items/hours, and the quality of food and drinks was much lower than we expected. Had their website been more transparent and showed menu items before we booked, that could have influenced our decision, or at least helped us manage expectations. All the drinks at the bar were massively sugary, and they barely had any vegetarian options (and nearly zero vegan options) at all restaurants. The coffee was disappointingly bad, and they wouldn't allow us to order food at the pool or the beach. You could order drinks, but no food. For food. you'd have to leave the area and dine inside a restaurant. A lot of food items were not fresh or served warm. Other than that, the property was pretty and we I'm sure it's the right place for some people, it just wasn't for us.
