Nov 18, 2024Keep your money for somewhere else
Expensive for what it really is. Overall disapointed. Waited 3:30hrs to get out room upon arrival. Once in the room, 27 degree celcius inside plus humidity (heavy rain on arrival at 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm) Missing key items in the room (umbrella, do not disturb sign, only one robe) The bath was fitlhy and very not well cleaned. TV did not work for trhee entire days (all rainy) Room service is terrible (had to call several times with same request and never get delivery). Food taste ok but body did not like it (often to bathrooms after each meal). Beach full of weeds all over and also in water, LOTS of venders after you all the time very annoying. Big decorative fountains and small adult pools (one closed while we were there) Staff only speaks spanish most of the time and like entusiam. Activities are expensive and not worth the money. App to make reservations at restaurants not working well. Return Shutle was 30 min. late to pick us up. lots of areas under renovation/construction. Priviledge sections not well supervised people from all over the resort were accessing it. For the price we paid (2100$ each/7days) and for someone who travel once every 5-10 years, I am very disapointed and would not recommend this resort.

The staff, the staff, the staff!!! Cecilia, Isabel, Felix, Anna…. So wonderful. The resort is beautiful! The food is amazing! The ocean is heavenly! But the family of the resort will bring you back! This is our second time at the adults only side. Next time we are bringing the whole family! We love this place and these people!! Thank you for an amazing vacation, once again!!!

Just got back from lovely relaxing vacation from Punta Cana - CATALONIA ROYAL BAVARO - ADULT SIDE . We booked our pkg through Expedia -including the round trip ride from the airport to the resort which was 25 min with TALIXO. Going to Catalonia was really gr8 . Ride back from the Resort to PUJ airport was a disaster. They do NOT tell u that the Driver is not allowed to pick u up from the front lobby and u need to go and wait at the main gate - it was pouring rain that day and driver did not show up, my husband tried to call Talixo 3 times it was getting late and we were worried that we might have to miss our flight so finally end up calling a Uber which worked out for the best . This was the only negative thing at the end of our trip. Stayed at the resort November 11 th to 15 th Nov . We arrived at the main reception lobby and welcome drink was offered which was yummy . After speaking with Yartiza and told her our concern she upgraded us to premium junior suite -Bldg 32 which was near the Beach and restaurants. Shout out to Angel very courteous person - for all the Dinner reservations. Which you should do as soon as you ck in .Our room was really nice with King size very comfortable bed and nice pillows. Had a safe, fridge and jacuzzi. It was on 2nd fl . Rooms are a bit out dated- need a face lift . House keeper Wana very pleasant and provided us with extra towels and water every day . We asked her to clean our room only only once in 4 nights stay, Big shout out to the staff of golf cart drivers special mention to - Rodolfo, Francesco and Estevan really excellent service . They picked us up and dropped us off right in front of our building- due to my husband's health limitation. We used the golf cart services through out our stay to go for Dinner and buffet. Audit side guest can use all the facilities and restaurants on the family side which worked out gr8 for us . Due to construction some restaurants and the swim up pool bar was closed which just opened up on the day we were leaving. We tried Italian - La Toscana , Rodeo - Steak house ,Mikado -Hibachi and Thalassa . Breakfast and Lunch at Café Carrabin was awesome and so much choice of food . Tropical fruits -Pineapple, Passion fruit and Papaya i really enjoyed at every meal . Kenya - took care of us with a beautiful smile each time we ate at the buffet. I had lot of choice of vegetarian food so that was amazing . The coffee shop had gr8 cappuccino which we both enjoyed. We spend much time at family side except beach and pool at adult side - which was nice and quiet . Got my hair braided by Rosita and reflexology massage on the beach by Anna Maria - very nice . Ocean was relaxing with plenty of beach chairs . Sea weed was everywhere but can't help the nature .We stayed 4 nights - it rained a lot first evening and got 2and 1/2 nice day. Resort grounds are beautifully maintained , ducks, White Ergates, Turtles, added a gr8 touch. Bars were awesome - Dominican each , Pina collate and Banana mama were excellent. Ma Loo- fresh fruit juice bar is a good choice at the beach .Sorrento -Pizza at the pool was yummy. At Beloved restaurant Lunch was awesome . Gardner gave us Coconut water which was refreshing. Family side is huge so lot of walking than Audit side. We stayed on Adult side but preferred using facilities on Family side .We had a issue with our hot water -they came and fixed the problem rite away- most of the staff is friendly and courteous. Main lobby customer service was attentive . I loved learning few Spanish words from the resort staff. We had a lovely relaxing time with no worries - looking forward to bring our entire family here in the future. Thank you for your hospitality . just few suggestions - needs English speaking staff - detailed clear signs through out the resort - Room needs to be updated .

Algeria spa is the best
Yessica was amazing, so attentive, to detail, and care, 100% recomend she is very very very very GOOD the massage is very comfortable she is the Best I love your job is AMAZING I come back for Her, exelentt service thank you very much the Best massage

So our honeymoon, walked in reception area and just saw building works ... 3 restaurants shut and main pool Our room looked over a building site so asked to be moved , yes we did into a large room but No Hot water and fridge didn't work I am diabetic and needed to keep my insulin cool but still no fridge till day 4 ! If you are diabetic and need a freezer to keep freezer gel packs frozen for taking your insulin out in day , They won't help you !!! I have been using ice cubes every hour to make sure insulin doesn't get to warm This hotel is shocking and advise not to go 😪
