    CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS

    Construction in Progress bed was horrible. Says 100% tobacco free but smoking around pool and at bar was tolerated by staff and management. Very friendly staff. Food was good. Property clean. No elevator for ADA access upstairs and baggage. Room we had was very dated. I think the mattress in our room was from 1975.

    Good hotel

    We were lucky enough to get a newly renovated room with view to the garden. Friendly team, good rooms, i even liked the shampoo xD Spaceous balcony to hang the wet suits from diving and even a dock for you to be picked up for your diving trips. There is water and ice cubes in the hallway for everyone, and they give out towels for the beach. No real access to the beach but did the best they could with the dock and view over the ocean. Walls are kind of thin and you hear everyone walking/talking etc.

    Casa Del Mar is great!

    My wife and I have been coming to Casa Del Mar for many years. We don’t dive but occasionally snorkel. We usually stay a month. We love it here. Restaurant staff are great! The food is great! The front desk staff are great! Even Jose at the gate is great! They are adding a 4th floor and parts off the day you might hear a saw or hammer. No big deal unless you are sensitive. About a 2 minute walk, across from Ernesto’s is a massage place. Lucia or her team give a fantastic massage. My wife and I have been going there for massages for many years. I think the place is called A Walk in the Clouds. We eat about 1/3 of our meals here. We will walk to ERNESTOS OR Sunrise for breakfast or dinner. Tonight…..we’re taking a taxi to Guidos for dinner.

    A great place to stay

    My group did the all inclusive package for a recent dive trip and I would sign up for it again. The location was very close to the boat pickup, making lugging gear much easier. The food was great, as was the waitstaff. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Every employee I interacted with was kind and knowledgeable. Would recommend!

    Good for diving.

    Casa Del Mar is basic. I would go elsewhere if you want to lie on a beach and swim. Nicer pools and nicer beaches. If you dive, this place is fine. Housekeeping was excellent, and the front desk was suitable. However, the beach is by a noisy road, with no internet. The Internet at the resort is great, but I would eat elsewhere. The food is meh. Our dive operators picked us up here, which was super convenient. We did not use any dive places they recommended, so there is nothing to say about that. The beds are not fantastic, but they are never at cheaper places. A ten-dollar cab ride to town is always easy to catch.
