- Other Local AttractionsAltos de Chavon artists village is a vibrant cultural community perched above the Chavon River. cobblestone paths, coral stone fountains and terra cotta buildings create a magical effect in this village designed by Roberto Coppa, an Italian architect who at the time was a Paramount movies set designer. He built Altos de Chavon in the late 1970s to emulate a 15th century southern Italy-southern Spain village. Visitors today discover craft workshops, artists’ studios, galleries and restaurants. Weddings are frequent at the St. Stanislaus Church, as few places can be more romantic than Altos de Chavon. The performing arts are showcased in the village’s 5,000-seat amphitheatre, inaugurated in 1982 by Frank Sinatra and is still attracting top name performers. Visit the Regional Museum of Archaeology, a small but wonderful display of the Island’s rich pre-Columbian heritage. The Art Gallery features contemporary art exhibitions.

We had a wonderful dinner here at Causa. Dilson was especially great, with fantastic food and drink recommendations, and he was also very considerate of my gluten allergy. 10/10. Thank you, Dilson, and Angel as well!! We really enjoyed our evening.

Something for Everyone
With a family of varying interests, there were lots of things to do and enjoy. Between the spa, golf, trap shooting, fishing and more, we did it all. We splurged for a villa that included breakfast made fresh every morning that was a real treat. Anna did a wonderful job and was very attentive and professional. My only issue with our visit was the seasonal hike in pricing for just about everything. That said, service during this busy time of year was relatively quick and things rarely felt overcrowded.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
Alba (our house cook) and Felix (our butler) were exceptional at providing us with the most exclusive services. Their attention to detail and eagerness to serve made this a 5 star vacation! Our breakfasts were always prepared ahead of time. I mean waking up to the smell of bacon…does it even get any better than this? Also, our rooms were tidied up (even with fresh sheets!) everyday by the time we returned from the beach. Alba and Felix were both friendly and professional in all of our interactions. Couldn’t have asked for anything to be better! You won’t be disappointed!!!😢

Beautiful experience. Will visit again for more golf and tennis and wonderful restaurants
We had a great time , and spent 5 days in Casa de Campo. All the restaurants that we ate at La Marina- dolce bakery , Limoncello, Causa were amazing, great service and very good food. Altos de Chavon- was charming and beautiful. The New year party was very enjoyable. We couldn’t eat in the restaurants at Altos because we didn’t have reservations. Tennis and golf courses were high quality. We rented a boat for a day and had one of the best beach days ever!! Overall great experience.

Great service and great food
Such a beautiful restaurant with great food and great service!!! We love Dilson and Felix!!! They were great to our family and made our experience incredible. The restaurant is so accommodating and everyone working here has such big smiles. We will definitely be back! Thanks again Dilson and Felix!
