This is a do not miss experience

What an amazing hidden gem! This property is absolutely stunning and you could just sit and enjoy the views all day if you wanted. But thankfully there are so many fun activities that you won't want to miss. I HIGHLY recommend either golfing if you are a golfer or riding long with someone who is. The whole 2 hours were breathtaking. Service here is the best we've seen in a really long time! We will be returning as soon and as possible as we can.

    Wonderful but Be Careful!

It was a short trip to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We arrived Sunday, April 27th and checked out on the 28th. The resort was beautiful and felt very peaceful upon arrival. They greeted us with a glass of wine, welcome gifts, and a bottle of wine was sent to our room in honor of our anniversary. When we went to our room, we were surprised to see it was an accessible room which we did not reserve. But the view was nice so we just went with it. I must say, this room was in a bit of disrepair, chairs lacked back cushions, there was a metal strip loose on the floor that would catch on our slippers, and the room just felt a bit dated. We dined at the hotel restaurant that evening and had an enjoyable meal. But here's where things took a turn. Back in our room I turned on the fireplace but didn't like the smell of gas so turned it off. Then I began to think about carbon monoxide poisoning and asked my husband to see if there was a carbon monoxide detector. He found it and discovered there was NO BATTERY inside! I called the front desk and they sent an engineer up to put in a battery, but the unit started beeping. We called down again and they moved us to a different room. I don't now if the unit was broken or if there was a carbon monoxide leak. I don't know why there was no battery. I'm just glad we weren't harmed. The room they moved us to was not a handicap accessible room, had a newer, 10 year carbon monoxide detector on the ceiling rather than on the wall like in the other room, and it was much nicer, with newer furnishings and artwork, hardwood floors, and a walk in, glass enclosed shower, much better for my 6'6 husband. I'm not sure why we were given a handicap accessible room since that is not what we booked. Overall, our stay was wonderful, and I would return. Just avoid the older rooms if possible.

    Relaxing First Visit

This property has been on my bucket list for a while. We did a 2 day staycation as we live in the SF Bay Area and wanted a quick getaway to relax. We booked a king studio which was perfect for the two of us. It's a beautiful property and our room was very clean and well kempt. The only room criticism I have is that the rattan chairs in front of the fireplace were very stiff and uncomfortable, very hard to get out off or sit in. As for dining, we ate all our meals at the Valley Kitchen. Five stars for breakfast. The salmon and shrimp omelets were perfectly prepared and reasonably priced. Dinner was hit and miss...for the prices they charge, they need to step up their game. The stand outs were the corn bread and pork belly appetizers. The Monterey prawns were overpriced for two overcooked and flavorless prawns. For an entree, the sea scallops with couscous was very good. The ribeye and pasta entree were just okay. The dining room is very nice with a relaxing ambience. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. Special shout out to Jeff (front desk manager), Israel (server) and Edmundo, shuttle bus driver. They were especially kind and helpful!

An excellent retreat to relax and enjoy beautiful views!

Our four day, four nights stay at the ranch were truly exceptional! While my husband and friend golfed during the day, I spent time in the gym and the spa. The facilities were all very nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The golf course is very well groomed and provides such beautiful views of the valley! I enjoyed several fitness classes, yoga, and a wonderful spa treatment! We really liked being in the valley area as it was centrally located to going to fun wine tastings in the valley and great shopping and restaurants in Carmel. Would definitely recommend this resort for anyone seeking a relaxing and fun getaway in a beautiful location!

    Perfect place to get married!

I just got married here and it was the dreamiest weekend ever! The property is beautiful, the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and stunning. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to get married. We will definitely back as often as possible to reminisce!
