Quick Getaway
This is our 3rd time here. We love this resort and plan on going again. It’s a great resort for a family or for couples. We have stayed in the LEVEL side of the resort. I highly recommend it. Food and Drinks are better.

Spring Break Family Trip March 2025
Great hotel - beautiful pool, beach, landscaping and cleanliness. Food is good but not the best. We booked a Level Beachside Suite - so you can go to the Riviera restaurant which is the best one by far of all the restaurants. Avoid Hokkaido as you have to pay for it and the food is meh. Good value for the money IMO. The beach is also beautiful. The only annoying thing was the constant nagging by either people on the beach or the hotel people at the pool to book activities and excursions. It is literally never ending. The least Melia could do is to give us a break from this when we are at the pool!

Amazing experience!
This was an amazing experience from top to bottom. Ericka started me off in the reception area with the most beautiful smile and warm reception. I was a bit confused about where I was supposed to be and she was very friendly and helpful and put me at ease. She made the experience more relaxing and enjoyable. Mackendy spa was very friendly and helped with the end of the service beautifully. Alejandra provided my service in most professional and skilled way. It was amazing just enough pressure and movement. The shower after the exfoliation was great! I am so pleased with the service. If you come here try to experience these three people. They made the whole experience amazing!

Awesome spring break
We had an overall great time at Melia Caribe Beach Resort during spring break. We’ve traveled to several Caribbean islands, and each country is unique in its own way, but they also share similarities. You’ll have a great time as long as you allow yourself to slow down and embrace the differences in cultures. Yes, things can take longer (especially at à la carte restaurants), but why rush in this paradise? There are several friendly cats near the main entrance, villas (the cutest one is near villa 22, and she loved salmon/tuna), and the pool area. Pros: -Beautiful beach (no seaweed) and pools -We enjoyed most of the food at the main buffet, especially the fruits, salads, and seafood. -making dinner resos were easy and you can book for 3days in advance -The burger truck at the beach was simple but really good. -The pools and beach area are close together. -hotel rooms were kept clean everyday Cons: -Some villas are far from the beach/pool area, requiring a train ride (or a 5-7 minute walk). -Trains usually arrived every 5-10 minutes, and there are also staff with golf carts who could give us rides. -Staff can be slow to attend to guests (e.g., coffee/water in the morning at the buffet), but they will eventually come. -English speakers: Many guests speak Spanish or French fluently, and quite a few staff members didn’t speak English well, which made communication difficult at times. -Lots of locals advertising braids, souvenirs, and tours on the beach. (However, a lady did a great job braiding my daughter’s hair at a reasonable/negotiated price.) Outside the Resort: We found Uber to be very reliable, cheap, and easy to use in Punta Cana. We enjoyed visiting the grocery store called Jumbo, located 4 km from the resort. They have everything, including groceries, souvenirs, cigars and alcohol, at reasonable prices. It’s also connected to a mall with many shops including Scotia bank and pharmacy.
