Downtown location
- no windows - no room, there were two low attics - no chair, no desk - no wardrobe, no hangers - no bed, only a mattress on the floor - no bath wash - breakfast is pre prepared, brought through the parking and main entrance on an uncovered tray - no air-conditioning - first three nights there was no Wi-Fi - the evening staff was not friendly - all tabs were hard to turn on and off

Awful check in experience
Have been sitting in the lobby being screwed by the front desk to get a room ready for over 3 hours now. But they tell me it’s a priority!! What a joke. Was booked through the Amex program which they recognized for early check in “if available”. You could tell it’s been a joke to them and it will magically be ready exactly at check in time.

Very dated with friendly staff.
We booked the hotel through a travel agent as part of our holiday, but only for 2 nights. This was long enough here. Whilst the location is ok the hotel itself is very dated and desperately needs a face lift. Our room was in the 4th floor but overlooked a roof with lots of plant on it that ran all day and night every day and night. Whilst this was just a circumstance of that particular room it wasn’t nice, but i suppose it’s luck of the draw and someone has to get this room. Inside the room was dated and very worn. AC grille was dented and broken and the AC when running was very noisy. The TV didn’t really work much with only 3 channels able to watch (again not a massive problem as plenty to do in Miami, other than watch TV). The staff at the hotel were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The pool area and outside bar were very nice, clean and well organised. Whilst I wouldn’t necessarily stay here again myself I wouldn’t deter others from staying here. If we go back to Miami Beach I would stay more in south beach rather than where this hotel is at mid beach.

Substandard service at an otherwise nice Art Deco property
Really wanted to like this classic Art Ddeco hotel. Unfortunately, it fell far below the service standard expected at a Marriott Autograph so-called premium property. Pros: great oceanfront location with prime beach; beautiful art deco lobby; excellent food; good-sized, well appointed room with a large shower; two nice pools; Leon at beach club did a fantastic job Cons: surly front desk staff; one of two tower elevator’s out entire stay; inconsistent service in restaurant; MIA approach directly overhead so plenty of aircraft noise; lots of incidental fees despite hefty daily resort charge; actually gave us glass bottles of Panna water on beach; repeatedly harassed by maid and maid manager to service room Overall, despite a great location and very nice historic property, there were too many service issues for a recommendation. Better staff training and management needed.

rundown and loud
Not worth more than 150 $. The rooms ,floors and elevators are old ( 40 Years? ) and run down. The only ok place is the lobby, but after you check in the disappointment begins. There is a very loud generator next to the pool which you can even here around the corner when you have sea view. Room is disgusting. And the manager doesn't know anything about guest relations. I am a Marriott Platinum member and it was the worst decision hotel wise since some years. The only good point is that they have a beach area That's it. This needs a renovation and a new managment badly
