  A-plus fun for my Bach!

  The beds were really comfortable and we didn't find the noise to be bothersome, although we were also there to party (for my bachelorette)! The staff and activities were so fun and the beach was not as bad as reviews made it sound unless you're afraid of a little natural oceanic life. While there wasn't any food that completely blew our minds, the food was very tasty. We loved the club and the DJs and just had so much fun at this resort! I will say on behalf of my friend that it was super hard for her to get ahold of the resort services prior to our trip. She had a lot of questions that they gave her run-around answers for. Once we got there, the staff at the resort was wonderful.

  DO NOT STAY - Worst resort we've ever stayed at

  DO NOT STAY - place is terrible! My wife and I booked here for a weeklong getaway vacation February 2025. There are SO many terrible things about this resort, but I'll just try to highlight some of the main things and make it more readable. We stayed on the Breathless side of things, and we'll never, ever go to another of their resorts again. CHECK-IN: 30min wait to check-in -- they only had one person working check-in, despite an entire van full of people showing up. After checking in, EVERYONE has to sit down with a salesman that tries to give you 'resort cash', which is a complete scam. These salesmen are paid solely by commission, which means they are extremely aggressive! We turned everything down, and they called our room EVERY SINGLE DAY. If we saw them around the resort, they would chase us down and try to sell us more. This was a terrible way to start the vacation. ROOMS ARE DIRTY: We checked in, and immediately noticed how dirty the room was. There was pasta sauce all over the curtains to the balcony - literally, it was still wet pasta sauce, clearly from the previous person that stayed there. There were stains all over the couch. The phone didn't work. The toilet was clogged. I have no idea who they have cleaning and certifying these rooms between tenants, but it was a terrible way to start the vacation, and it took us days of service requests and people coming to our room just to get everything in working order. POOLS ARE DIRTY: The pools are filthy. We'd get in the pool, and I would constantly see things floating around - and you'd clearly be able to see (and feel) a bunch of human hair floating in the pool. It was disgusting, and we barely spent any times in the pool because of that. There is little to no filtering going on - in a pool filled with people drink all day. ATMOSPHERE: This is a party resort, through and through. There is no place to 'relax' -- you will feel bass, anywhere you are. There are two pools, and both of them have music and stuff going all day - there is no such thing as a quiet spot where you can just relax. If partying is what you're looking for, this is for you! However, we definitely weren't looking for that, and wish that anyone would've been upfront with us about that prior to coming here. FOOD IS HORRIBLE: We've been to several resorts in the Cancun area, and the food here was the worst I've ever seen, hands-down. The room service will be cold. The buffet food is worse than any buffet I've even seen in the states - much less at a resort where you're paying thousands to stay and eat. The Mexican restaurant was terrible - some of the driest meat you'll ever have. Overall, when food is something we were looking forward to, this was among the most disappointing parts of staying here. DRUNK, RUDE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE: I know what you're thinking - "But it's a party resort - you should know that!". Well, let me tell you - security does absolutely nothing here to contain drunk people being rude and aggressive towards their staff, and it ruins it for everyone there. One night, my wife and I literally left dinner - at the Italian restaurant - because there was a group of drunk guys yelling at a female waitress and whistling at her. And when I say whistling, I mean those two-finger whistles that make everyone in the entire restaurant stop talking because it was so loud. It was unbelievable. We got the manager, and he wasn't willing to do anything. We stood up, grabbed our plates of pasta, and walked back to our room and just ate there. If you are a party resort, and can't at least protect your staff and other guests from drunk guests, then you're wrong. RIDICULOUS RULES: No shots in the pool. Mandatory time between drinks. Shutting down the hot tub very early in the night. This entire resort seems to have some of the weirdest, strictest rules that didn't make any sense and just made us feel like the resort was treating us like children. IGNORE 'DO NOT DISTURB SIGNS': Staff will ignore your do-not-disturb light. Flat-out. We had it on our entire stay, and we'd have people knocking on our door multiple times during the day. They will also call, if you don't answer the door. If you want privacy, this is not the place for you, at all. It's incessant, oppressive, and terrible.

  Perfect girls trip

  Absolutely loved our stay at Breathless resort. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lively atmosphere. There’s always something to do and the staff is amazing! I went with my friend for a quick girls trip and this resort was the perfect place for it. Everything from check in (thank you Luis and Jorge) to the service staff was so friendly, customer focused, and accommodating. But really the best part of Breathless that made this trip so amazing was the entertainment guys! Thank you to Angel, Luis, and Pedro - you all made our stay so special and fun. Lots of entertainment and laughter, so if that’s what you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to book this place. The main pool was our favorite - lots of games and activities, a swim up bar, and waiters coming around to take drink and food orders (thank you Ariel for always filling our drinks). Breathless has a bunch of restaurants and a buffet. The food at the restaurants was delicious and there are different cuisines for everyone. The buffet was alright, but we’ve never been big with buffets so we only went there once. We did not have a single bad meal otherwise! 10/10 would definitely visit again :)

  Superbowl Breathless 2025

  Just got back from Breathless Riviera Maya for their famous Super Bowl weekend, and it did not disappoint! Friday & Saturday: We spent our days at the high-energy pool party, complete with a DJ, bubbles, sunshine, dancers, and a margarita bar cart bringing drinks right to us. The music was on point, and the whole crowd was dancing and vibing all day. There’s also a grill right by the pool serving up tasty food options. The bartenders? Super fun and friendly, slinging frozen or mixed drinks just how you like them. For dinner, we hit the French restaurant and Silk City (sushi)—both were fantastic. The escargot at the French spot is a must, especially paired with their house white wine. At Silk City, the sushi was fresh, and the chef put together an incredible selection of nigiri and sashimi. Service throughout the resort was top-notch—friendly, fun, and always smiling. Each night had a different theme, so be sure to check the schedule on the app so you don’t miss out. And of course, we ended each night dancing at the club—definitely worth a stop before heading to bed. Super Bowl Sunday: Insane. They threw an epic Super Bowl party around the Energy pool, with food tables and desserts everywhere. Staff was fully on deck, with multiple bars and waiters everywhere making sure you never had to wait for a drink. They set up several giant screens, so no matter where you were, you had a perfect view of the game. And to top it all off, a fireworks show lit up the sky—literally launched from the hotel roof! The whole weekend was unbeatable—sun, beach, incredible food, drinks everywhere, and a lively crowd making it all even more fun. Both the guests and the employees brought the best energy all weekend. Already looking forward to the next one! Thanks, #BreathlessRivieraMaya! Xavier - bellhop Extradaniore! He is the happiest and and explains the whole resort while getting your bags to the room. He starts the trip off perfectly! Irma - front desk manager! Secrets and Breathless- professional polite friendly. Very welcoming. Luis Tinedo- director of entertainment- really cares about creating great experiences for guests Luis -bartender VIP bar - wow! Super drinks and so friendly Dayden sommelier - the most awesome host! helpful and smiling every day. Samuel - sommelier - such a friendly nice human being Cesar - best pizza in the world! And very nice and friendly. You got to get a pizza! Isabel - taco chef - amazing Omar - entertainment - works tirelessly and his staff are so fun! Ingrid - hostess at Silk City - so professional Esther - waitress at silk city - such a great waiter. Love your smile! DJ Hagi - such variety and brings the good energy! Rameriz - mgr Sommelier - always making sure everyone is ok! The best guy! Hecter- bartender party pool - great drinks Wilbirth - bartender - love his energy Robert - waiter beach! Coolest! Fernando - bartender - amazing -great with the drinks Sonia - pool party waitress - so attentive and friendly Jorge-waiter at french - smiling and service oriented! Ricardo - nook - patient and so friendly Pascual - breakfast server - remembers you and gets you set up and ready for great food

  Tacos & Piña Coladas

  Great experience! The staff were friendly and room service was very quick. Hotel room was beautiful and clean. The shower in the room was incredible—it was its own giant glass room with 2 rainfall shower heads. View from balcony was beautiful as you could watch the sunset every evening. The food and drinks were out of this world good! The tacos were the best I have ever had in my life! They had a taco stand every afternoon at 4pm. Simple, authentic, and delicious! Buffet food was okay, but the restaurants offered more curated menus—Mexican, Italian, Asian, French cuisines. The drinks throughout the day by the pool were endless. My favourite drinks were piña colada and strawberry margarita. The staff offered daily activities by the pool and entertainment was fun nightly. They had umbrellas throughout the resort which I thought was very considerate in case it rained and you needed to move around the resort. We went on an adventurous excursion—zip lining, ATVs, and cenotes caves). Super fun experience and would highly recommend! One thing I didn’t like was the beach—big waves, lots of seaweed, cold, and it was not clear water at all. Overall, this was a relaxing vacation and a beautiful resort. Would highly recommend!
