Terrible
We arrived full of life to enjoy our time there. We noticed over time how staff were luring people into meetings saying it was an overview of the resort when it was a fancy way of getting people to purchase property there. They were pushy for tips constantly or your service was slowed down.Very few staff were happy.... The entertainment staff seemed nice. The whole resort was so out dated with chairs ripped and only a few umbrellas to share. The swim up pool was dirty. We saw day after day older people go into that pool and not come out for hours so you knew where they were peeing. We saw so many people fall getting out of the pool onto the slippery tile with no one trying to fix it. The food was repetitive, only the morning fresh area of cooking was hot... Everything was cold and basic. Anyone with diet restrictions would be out of luck. I would never recommend this resort to anyone unless you are looking for a low end place to stay and for the money we paid out, it was ridiculous!!! I hope this helps other people understand go somewhere else.....We were so happy to leave and never come back....

Great Entertainment
Xavier from the entertainment team was awesome! We had a blast throughout the week with him not only at the pool side but also at the beach. He went out of his way to make games really fun and personable! The food was pretty decent, definitely enough for a picky person. The resort is a good size that everything is a short walking distance.

Not a 4 star resort!!
Worst than we expected! The satff is not friendly, rooms are outdated and dark, the ac does not work well. The food was not good and the wine tasted like very sweet apple juice! There is one pool at the spa, one pool where they play volleyball all day long and the third pool is a 2 feet deep party pool with the bar, where people drink, smoke (even weed) and play dice games for money. Do not waste your money or vacation time there!!

Why are the staff so unhappy?
I recently returned from Blue Bay Doradas and although I had a great time, given the people we met, there are definitely some points that I want to mention for those doing their research. The resort needs a lot of TLC. The rooms are very outdated, which we anticipated given all the reviews. There is barely any shade and maybe 1 or 2 umbrellas on the entire resort. The canopy beds are nice if you can get one. The pools and beach are nice. I loved that there was a beach bar. I am not sure why, but the pools close at 7:00 pm. All three of them!! I really didn't understand this. In spite of the above, I still didn't mind it. What was very off-putting however was the staff. Never before have I ever felt like such an inconvenience asking for a drink. One of the bartenders in the party pool had to be one of the most miserable bartenders I have ever met. We had to practically beg for a second room key from the desk and were asked why we needed one. Our fridge was only fully stocked when we arrived with 2 bottles of water, 2 bottles of pop and 2 cans of beer. After that... only 2 bottles of water for the rest of the week. I was shocked given it is an all-inclusive. When we saw a maid stocking a room with 2 cans of beer in her hand, we asked if she could do the same for us, she said she would and then disappeared. Our rooms were barely cleaned. I guess I am just used to the friendly, humble and happy staff I have seen in Cuba, this was my first time in the DR. Maybe it's normal, but it's left a really bad taste for me.

Animation team was great. Minor repairs needed around the resort. Do not put your key near you phone or you will make multiple trips yo the lobby. Wifi was amazing. Beach was picturesque. Food was great but horrible for those with Celiac or dietary restrictions. I would come again. Adults only resort!
