The stay was amazing, food was delicious, hotel was beautiful. Everything would be great if not Americans and Canadians reserving sunbeds at 6am, dirty towels and some confusion with animations.

Will not return and will not recommend to anyone. Recently stayed with family of 6 adults at Barcelo maya beach, Resort is huge as it shares other resorts but lots of walking, no golf carts to go from one place to another. Has double decker bus service but that does not help much. Food was not good, disappointed with buffet area, restaurant food was ok not so great for the price you paid for upgrading to premium club. Beach chairs and pool side chairs was also another issue, One of our room had ants and also heard other guest complained about ants. Will find better resort next time as Cancun has so much to offer.

Great Bang for your Buck
We have traveled all over the Caribbean and find this resort to be a great place for the price. Plenty of food and drink for all. Beautiful space. All kinds of things to do if that's your thing. Quiet spaces for those looking for peace. Visited this resort 19 years ago when it was just a single resort. Boy, has it grown! Still beautiful as ever. We highly recommend it and may return again given the opportunity.

Barcelo Maya Beach Stunning
Maya Beach is a beautiful resort. We had a group of 8 (4 couples). Upon check in , we were all upgraded to pool / beach view rooms with hot tubs on our balconies. The resort staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pools and ground are well taken care of. The staff work very hard to maintain the property. The beach is stunning with plenty of chairs and shade. The food at the main buffet is great with plenty of options to please everyone. The staff in the buffet are all so friendly and attentive. We also tried the Italian and Japanese restaurants and were not disappointed. We went to the Sports Bar in the Mall area to watch the Bills and Kansas playoff game. So much fun ! The is a shopping g mall and flea market area to shop. There’s also a waterpark to enjoy. This report will not disappoint and we will certainly return in the near future.
