This resort met all my expectations for a great vacation destination. Food was excellent, ocean was clean great snorkeling and many options to choose from right outside the hotel . Looking forward to a return vacation next year .

An excellent Family Vacation at Barcelo Huatulco
This was our 3rd visit to Barcelo Huatulco. Our first 2 were excellent as well as our most recent visit. The resort is beautiful and very well managed. The check in process was fast and easy. The food at both the a la carte restaurants and buffets were delicious. There was a great variety at the buffet. We especially enjoyed the theme dinner nights and the food prepared on the outside grills. The pools are clean and well maintained and the entertainment staff did a wonderful job to keep the guests engaged and if they preferred to just relax poolside listening to the ocean waves. The beach was beautiful and with a short walk down the beach we found some very good snorkeling from shore. We found a great resort here at Barcelo. I'd like to take the time to thank the following staff for making our visit one to remember and special. Magdalena went above and beyond to make our visit an excellent one. We actually had to postpone our initial trip because severe winter weather cancelled our flights. Magdalena worked with us as we rescheduled the trip to a week later. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and she did many special things to make sure our anniversary was special. The team at the Premium desk and reception were wonderful. They took great care of us. Fernando, one of the pool waiters remembered us from our previous visits. He and his team took great care of us poolside. Fernando's Father manages the buffet restaurant. He and his team do an excellent job and the food was always fresh and delicious. Victor at the Premium lounge was so kind to us and provided great service. Andrea and Ricardo at La Fontana restaurant made our 40th wedding anniversary dinner the very best! Honestly everyone we met at Barcelo was wonderful and provided excellent service. We can't wait for our next visit.

Great Resort
Overall this was a great resort, our rooms were exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The quality of the bedding and the mattresses was first rate. The pool and beach areas were excellent, although you really need to get up very early to save yourself a spot in the shade. The food at the buffets was always well prepared, and there was a great variety, always better when they first open then closer to closing. The à la cart restaurants were excellent and we ate their most evenings. It is definitely worth the extra money to upgrade to the premier club which allows you to eat at the à la carte restaurants as many times as you like,The bartenders were very attentive and you never had to wait long for a drink in the lobby and never had to wait at all for a drink from the swim bar at the pool. The quality of the musicians that played in the evenings at the lobby was top-notch, and we truly enjoyed having a drink in the lobby bar every evening before dinner. Our room was very important to us and was always cleaned impeccably and at the time we requested, which was very important to me. The view of the ocean from our premier club room was unsurpassed. we spent the majority of our time at the adult pool area and appreciated the large number of chairs available in shady areas. The beach is spectacular and we were pleasantly surprised at how many water sports/equipment was included in the price of our stay. One suggestion for this beach area is the resort could use a shower to rinse off saltwater and sand from your feet in that area. Overall, an excellent resort that I would highly recommend.

Great family vacation
We were 8 adults, 1 toddler and stayed for a week. Rooms very clean Lourdes did a great job. Fresh towels, towel animals, birthday cake for my hubby. Pools clean, adult only, activity and kids pool. Chairs available till about 8-830. Fernando our pool server was great! Ensuring you were well hydrated. Eunice Garcia had the biggest smile and warm welcome for us each day at breakfast and lunch. She remembered breakfast orders. Joshua on the catermaran and kayaks did great with touring the bay and getting us in and out of the water. Victor in Premium club did a fantastic job with our nightly cocktails. Lobby entertainment nightly was good. It is a small family resort, quiet with great views. Beach is steep but swimmable and we enjoyed it We were all Premium level and dinner reservations open Sunday at 9 am. Be in line at 845 as they fill quickly. Italian was our favourite but all were good.

Another excellent vacation
Another great 2 week stay at the Barcelo Huatulco. Food and room were very good. Did many of the resort activities and the activities team of Alberto, Abraham, Omar, Josue, Francisco, Fernando, Aldhair, Karen, Josseline and Alejandra were so personable and became my resort friends. Luis, the singing waiter in the Dona Rosa restaurant is so engaging and efficient. Fernando and Carlos, pool side waiters are excellent. This was our 4th time at the resort.
