Mar 11, 2025The Good and the bad
We have been here 5 times. The beach and Bartenders here are the resorts best assets. JOSE, Joe, Antonio and Angelo are truly wonderful people! Management could use a little help. No hot water for 2 days and no hair dryer (not that big of deal) but when you go down to the desk 4 times and ask for help and get nothing- This is frustrating! Having said that, the staff is great! Everyone so friendly. You can not beat the Palm tree beach. The food is pretty good. Koyoto and Chez Gourmet are our favorites. The resort is starting to show its wear and tear.

My first time visiting Punta Cana and I chose this resort based on picking what was said to be the best beach and it did not disappoint! It was clean with fine white sand and gorgeous blue green calm water. Seeing sea turtles everyday was fabulous. We had a swim up room and it was wonderful but we didn't use it as much as we thought we would because we spent the day at the beach! The food at the buffets was good with a pretty good selection. Out two favorite a la carte restaurants were Kyoto on the palace side and Chez Gourmet on the adult side. Great service and food! Our room was great- housekeeping did a nice job and it had everything we needed. The proximity to everything on the resort was a huge plus! We had a wonderful time!

The Barcelo Beach was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and every guest staying was a joy. I will definitely think about going again

I'll be back!
First visit was 5/2022 & now 3/2025. I will be back again. Wonderful ladies week with my sister-in-law both times. So relaxing! Gorgeous scenery.

The beach is beautiful that’s all I can say about this place. There’s no activity for “adult only” resort. Very boring resort. There’s kids on the beach the foods sucks, better foods at the Palace side. Housekeeping does not speak English at all, they do a horrible job at replacing towels, it’s a struggle everyday to get towel replacements.
