We had a couple of meetings set up in the hotel. One meeting with partners and another the same day was a board meeting. The meetings were hours apart. The partner meeting was early in the day and board meeting was late afternoon. When we went to the room for the board meeting we saw that the food was still in the room from the early meeting. We had to rearrange the meeting and had to have it in Bdelicious cafe with noises all around us.

A very well maintained and clean place with a great staff and great food, will definitely be staying there next time I am in Santo Domingo.

Everything was checked and it was fine. Next time I visit the hotel I will try a more comfortable and economical room.

After ten years, I returned to the Barcelo Santo Domingo, and the experience was not as good as then. My room smelled moldy. It was the carpet which needed deep vacuuming. Also, several times, the cleaning staff woke me early in the morning because my room didn't have a Do Not Disturb card. On my last day, a Sunday, the maintenance staff started repairing something in a nearby room in the morning. Apart from those details, the staff is amiable and helpful, and the food is excellent.
