    Fine but I wouldn’t return

    - every other resort we have been to has allowed shorts with a collared shirt and sandals for men. They don’t and we couldn’t use the a la carts because of that -we were having drinks late, on the outside lobby furniture and someone came and insisted we stand up and give them the cushions we were sitting on. It was frustrating and quite condescending

    Very friendly staff, clean and cool rooms, food overall would rate as a 8 , proximity to beach was very close. Shopping and Restaurants just across the street and only $30 cab to the airport each way, Canadian Funds 😊

    Awesome place, awesome time :)

    Hola! We stayed at the Barcelo Huatulco in February and had an amazing vacation. It was our second time to Huatulco and our first time to the Barcelo. We fell in love with Huatulco our first trip and we love it even more now. It's a beautiful place with awesome people and it's always warm there. The Barcelo is in a good location with beautiful vegetation and has everything you want. The rooms are nice, the food is good, the drinks are good, the pools and activities are good and so is the shopping, plus the weather is great. It is all really great but what made it extra fun for us was the new friends we made. Not only did we find some amazing new Canadian friends but we made a few Mexican friends as well. All the staff we dealt with were wonderful and made our stay a really enjoyable one. Abraham was so much fun. On Valentine's Day he dressed like Elvis and another day he danced with us to one of our favorite songs. We had a lot of fun with him and Francisco and Joshua in the pool. Omar took us out for a nice ride on the catamaran around Turtle Island and Fernando was amazing keeping our drinks filled. He never kept us waiting and was always so nice. Connie from the spa has some magic hands. We really enjoyed her mini back massages by the pool. Another person we enjoyed watching was Abraham and his hawk Bob. The two of them have a very cool bond and Bob is an amazing creature. If you ever get the chance to stay at Barcelo Huatulco, do it. You won't be disappointed. Danny & Karen in Canada

    Good resort

    Stayed for two pleasant weeks. The staff were overall very friendly and helpful. We liked the fact there was an adult only pool. Overall the food was of good quality. My only complaint was there were only toppings/condiments (chopped onions, capers and egg) for the Smoked Salmon for the first two days and none thereafter. I had some difficulty in trying to get the staff to understand about this lack. Francisco? in La Tortuga was very helpful as was Clara who would always greet one with a large smile.There was always a large variety of food available. One slight problem was that the self service coffee maker was not working on a number of occasions. My one complaint was that in some of the shaded areas there was not enough shade due to the larger gaps between the coverings. Although the beach was nice with an adequate number of thatched umbrellas the sea, at times, was rather rough with dumper waves and a strongish rip tide making body surfing unpleasant. The evening entertainment was.well choreographed but was rather repetitive without a lot of variety in themes. We would not hesitate to return.
