Nightmare Experience - Unready, Unclean Rooms and Rude Staff at Bahia Luxury
Nightmare Experience - Unready, Unclean Rooms and Rude Staff at Bahia Luxury We previously enjoyed a good stay at Bahia Grand, which is why we chose Bahia Luxury for our friend's birthday celebration on May 2nd. Unfortunately, this experience was a complete nightmare from start to finish. Despite confirming multiple times (via call center, hotel, and even email) that a birthday banner, wine, and chocolate would be in one of our rooms, none of this materialized. Our rooms, booked under the same name, were not side-by-side as promised, but located at opposite ends of the hallway. Our own room was never officially ready; we received no notification as promised and had to access it ourselves after a long wait, only to find it clearly wasn't well-cleaned. The "birthday amenity" that eventually arrived after a call to the operator consisted of two cheap chocolate candies. A dirty paint bucket sat outside our door all night, and our shower broke. While the housekeeping ladies did their best to assist us, and the food was okay with good variety, the service from other staff was appalling. The front desk at check-in was unhelpful, and the guest experience desk staff were incredibly rude and made inappropriate comments about guests' nationalities. The lobby bar staff were equally unwelcoming, making assumptions based on appearance. Even the Wi-Fi, which we inquired about at check-in, wasn't functional until we complained again later that night. The one shining light was the exceptional service from the waitresses, servers, and bartenders by the pool. A special shoutout to Latoya at the pool bar, who helped make our stay slightly more bearable. The hostess at Jasmine was also lovely. However, the way our friend's birthday was handled was the final straw. When we asked if a birthday song could be sung, our waiter loudly refused, leaving the poor hostess to awkwardly gather other staff. This made us feel incredibly undervalued. Avoid this hotel if you expect promised amenities, ready and clean rooms, competent service, or a welcoming atmosphere. Only the pool staff and the hostess at Jasmine showed any decency. This was a horrible experience, and we will not be returning to Bahia Luxury.

luxury great pool, room staff
everything on the resort was wonderful, food, rooms, pool we used the quiet pool between the 2 resorts that's our preference and also used the Privilege Beach as Privilege Members ( which I recommend if your a traveler) the staff I have to say this year at the Luxury pool bar was a lot better than last year and Oren Riley is always amazing we know him from the Grand side. entertainment staff at the pool was amazing Andre Whitman I believe was his last name went above and beyond as I mentioned we stayed at the quite pool and he came over every day that we were there to have a chat and to try to get us to come over but we are quiet people lol. he's definitely a keeper great for business the others seemed to be upbeat as well including Chanoya she as well made her way over sweet girl.

A fantastic holiday
This hotel is awesome!! I'd read some bad reviews but think they were either incredibly picky people that would find fault anywhere or just had some bad luck. Food is great! The buffets are amazing and had everything you want with great table service for drinks. We found we didn't need to buy any expensive wines as the house wines on the ai were all good. Cocktails were decent too. The staff are great! Always happy and engaging. There's plenty of quiet spots by pools and beaches and the main pool has a fun party atmosphere so you get the best of both. Drinks service to your sunbeds in most places too which was great. I find hotel entertainment pretty cheesy most of the time, but thought the entertainment was excellent too when we wanted to engage. Some great shows and music was decent! All in all was a fantastic holiday. Big shout to all the staff as they are all great. I'd definitely consider coming back to Bahia Principe Luxury. Only think stopping me would be wanting to try other hotels but this one is excellent and well worth the money. Thanks to all the staff for ensuring we were good at all times and for providing such good service!

UPDATE NEEDED
We are 13 days in and are disappointed. The staff are excellent and carry the atmosphere and welcome. We could not book a la carte most nights, but the four we managed food wise, really need to up the quality, compared to other hotels in the chain. Unfortunately the doing everything on an app loses the luxury personal touch. TUI is just the same from booking to on site, we had to do everything. Adults only luxury parts should be renamed pool party central. Only 1 swim up bar available, and if it was not for the great staff, you would wonder why you didn't just do self catering. Al la carte will say fully booked, but when you walk past it's just closed. We were told due to occupancy levels, they close them. We managed to book 4 out of 14. We had two milestone birthdays to celebrate, and if it wasn't for the actual staff in the Rodizio restaurant, we would have had no celebration. I mentioned to TUI before and on site about things I would like, but unfortunately, nothing. The location is something that is stunning, and the Sunsets are stunning. Rooms are cleaned at least twice a day, and I was grounded for two days, and the staff knocked on, and rang to ask about my welfare and if anything was needed. If your planning a milestone occasion and want luxury, pick somewhere else until they get an upgrade and are fully staffed. Dunns Falls is a must from the others in the group, but we all recommend Worthy Park for the trip back in time, and extremely knowledgeable guides. Sunset cruise was unforgettable.

The Birthday getaway ever!
My Birthday getaway was excellent!!! I loved everything about my stay. Definitely going back. If I had listened to the internet I would not have gone but I'm glad I went and had my experience. Listen get your own experience rather than base it on what others have to say. I spent four days and they were all great. 100/10!
