Apr 23, 2025Very nice, only a smell
The hotel is very large. There r 2 sides. Somehow the grand rooms are nicer than the luxury rooms. The food is great been 3 times. Only thing by the grand is smell of sewage during the night depnd where ur room is. They said they were working on it. So let's hope they do. They switched the main dining when I went the 2nd time. Catch the golf cart to go to the village for the night show or the club during day there r stores. Everything is included. The bars r a bit stingy with the top shelf liquor but the bartender told us due to management checking off the amount each day. I am not a drinker so don't bother me but I guess those that come to have a great time that includes alcohol, just to let you know. The beach where the buildings are on is limited, not much of swimming far out but enough to soak in. You can take loads of pics on this property. I went as a couple 2 times and also got my cousin to get married there so lots of family that time.

Apr 23, 2025REFRSHING AND TANTILIZING
The visit made at the "Grand Bahia Principe" was an exuberant one. From the very first entrance at the Main Gate, the security's warmth that came with every word expressed with a smile was oh so inviting. Then, not to mention, the men who graced us at the front of the hotel, the warm greetings that came to us, was accepted with much politeness, which still lingers in our hearts, as they took our luggage. The ladies at the front desk - just to name one in particular, Ms. Renee Brown, my name's sake, the reception given was oh so breath-taking as she ensured that the room was ready and especially prepared for us at least 1 hour before the check-in time. Then as we entered the room, I can recall vividly the ambience, well-made beds, lovely blankets to keep you warm and comfortable. The furniture rightly placed in every area. The lovely tea area with the wonderful teas specially chosen, it was a delight. The bathroom with the lovely milky white towels, oh it was a sight to behold. Much thanks and appreciation to the persons who took care of the rooms. Then as the tour began, I must make mention of the main dining area. As you enter, you are greeted by lovely smiling hosts, ready to place you at a table of your choosing. The lovely meals, the reception received, lovely, arrayed meals, fruits, proteins, the cakes, the green juices, the smoothies, etc. As the tour continues, you come across the lovely pools, decked with some lovely and strategically placed chairs, carefully selected for the setting. The Doule Villa, a restaurant on the beach is a cut above the rest, with the lovely Jamaican meals. Our Jamaican festivals, curried goat, gungo rice and peas, barbecued beef, lovely fruits ripe bananas, apples, ice-creams, vegetables in abundance, patties of all sorts, it was just a mouth full. It was oh so amazing. Last, but not least, I must mention the SPA. That experience was an experience ALL by itself. I was taken to heavenly places, the special oil used to massage my tired worn body, every fiber in my being was revived after that SPA treatment. I did not get a chance to visit the GYMN, that the placed that I long to be. However, when I return before the year ends, I shall go there. Overall, the visit made at the GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE, has left a lasting impression on me. I have pledge to come again, at least three times for each year, providing that I am in Jamaica. If not, I made it my duty to come at least once each year. SELF CARE is the main focus of my life now and I pledge to make sure that I do what is necessary to make my stay here on earth be a fulfilling one. Keep up the excellent ambience and do have a blessed day.

Returning family
This was our 3rd trip back to Bahia Principe Jamaica, and we loved every second of it. We spent time at the pools, some time on the beach with beautiful water, but spent most of the time at the amazing waterpark. Our kids LOVED it. Most importantly, the wait staff at the buffet made this trip. Our wonderful waiter “Big Jon” Jovan - was BEYOND amazing. Over the top service, remembered everyone’s drink orders. Our kids loved him, and he made us feel like family. Jovan made our trip special. He is the reasons we came back for a 3rd time :). Highly recommend this resort for families.

Bahia Principe!
My wife and kids stayed at the Bahia for spring break week. We had a nice time during our stay. The food was actually very good. I was pleasantly surprised. The service is a little slow. The restaurants were amazing. The French was very very good. The Steak restaurant was ok. The Japanese was very very good. The Italian was good. The service at the restaurants is better than the all you can eat buffet. The shows are amazing. The only thing is that they don’t have top shelf liquor at the pool bar. But I got by. The Luxury, which is the adult side, is awesome. The buffet is a couple of notches better both in food and service. The gym is also better at the adult side. We didn’t go to the Luxury side pool but it looked nicer. I guess with families and kids it’s not the same mess. Overall, it was much nicer and better than expected. We had a really nice entertaining and relaxing time.

**warning warning** be careful on the beach. We arrived and within 2 hours of arrival we were approached by a guy on the “security” protected beach who was pushing us to buy drugs- we said no, and then he would not leave us alone. I have a 10 and 14 year old and they witnessed all of this . We had to leave the beach as we felt pressured and uncomfortable. We reported this to security and management, and checked out of the hotel! We went somewhere else… now I am fighting the hotel for a refund for the rest of our stay… they said well if you booked through us directly we would have refunded you no problem - (but since we did Expedia) there is no guarantee.. well guess what… they denied Expedia to give us a refund (surprise surprise) I would rethink before booking a trip here, this is our second time to the island and they are so many better options that are family friendly.
