Mixed Feelings
Decent resort alot of good things, we were offered some package online that gives late check out but when we asked about it on night before check out they somehow never heard about it. we still got to check out at 1pm instead of 12. Next we were offered Birthday package for daughter birthday she is 6, we had to remind them several times before they put birthday banner on door, was suppose to get chocolate strawberries for the child and a birthday bottle of champagne funny enough we got the champagne that the child cant have but no chocolate strawberries she was very disappointed, and then she was again excited about trying japanese food and when we got to the restaurant the place was totally infested with cockroaches we left along with all the other guests and had to go get what was left at the buffet by this time it was almost 11 un satisfied we went to the other restaurant that was supposed to open from 11-5am they were still not opened yet at 1120pm.. We just went to bed daughter was again very disappointed . The housekeeper did decorate the room with some rose petals saying happy birthday that was very nice and put a smile on my daughters face. i am very busy i took time off to take my daughter on this trip and i dont appreciate how nothing was done to try to make up for the mishaps ..

Poor Experience Dismissed by Management
I am writing regarding my experience with Bahia Principe pre and post check in. Initially I had no concerns booking my reservations through the toll free number. However, doing the online check in process I was unable to upload documents. After calling and emailing numerous times I was unable to obtain assistance. I had to pay for international calling days before my trip to contact the resort directly. I was placed on hold and disconnected numerous times before I was able to obtain some assistance. Without being checked in I could not book my groups restaurant reservation. I was able to get a lady at the front deck to book a dining night. There were only 2 slots that could accommodate us during our stay. It was either Sat night at the Knife at 9:45 or Mikado Hibachi Friday night at 7:45. I originally booked the Knife for Sat but called to change to Mikado Restaurant for hibachi because of time and our early flight on Sunday. When I arrived at resort there was a concern about rooms. For 8 people with 3 rooms we were giving King size accommodation. I definitely requested double beds. This issue was rectified by check in but the attitudes of the women at the desk were unpleasant. The first night went well and the food was ok. I am a vegetarian and the salad and vegetable options were picked over, not fresh or cold. Second day we ate breakfast it was ok. Food was still not kept fresh or warm enough. We went out for the day and came back to see if we can make our dinner reservation for later to rest. Upon speaking to the representative Julia, I discovered that only one reservation was changed to the Mikado restaurant, one still had the Knife restaurant and the third had no reservation at all. After speaking to Julia at the resort she was able to squeeze us in the Japanese restaurant for 9p but NO hibachi. Arriving at dinner I did inquire about the availability of hibachi at the time and was told it was still unavailable. Extremely disappointed that I called days in advance of our stay to make accommodation that were not honored we sat down at our table. After sitting down getting our orders taking my granddaughter saw roaches on the floor. After that one of my other family members saw something running up and down the wall in the hibachi room behind us. After that we all kept a look in that area and after 10 minutes we all saw a big rat run up the wall. I spoke to the manager, Tanisha who informed me she would file a report with guest services. Our one dining experience was displeasing. We proceeded to go to the Roundhouse for snack but it did not open until 11pm. We waited until 11:15 until they open. After they opened we found all the food was cold and inedible. The next morning I woke up and wanted to check on the inclusive excursions. To ensure our last day was satisfying. I was told that most of the excursions that were supposed to be FREE had stipulations and additional fees. I proceeded to go to the front desk and spoke with Eliana and discussed my concerns. Eliana appeared to be least helpful and told me she did not see a report regarding the restaurant. I told Eliana that this was our last night and she told me she would follow-up and contact me that day to assist us with our dining evening. I did not hear back from her at all. I went to the front desk that evening. I spoke to Kimesha who was very empathetic and helpful. She informed me that she did not see any report regarding my concerns from the restaurant or guest services. Kimesha offered to provide services as compensation. However, it was after 7p and we were leaving early morning. Kimesha emailed Eliana and left notes in our file and provided me with the customer service email. That evening I saw Tanesha, the manager of Mikado, in the main dining area. I asked her about the report from dinner. Tanisha pretended to make a call and said she would be right back and never came back. In the morning after checking out I passed the guest service desk to follow-up. I spoke with Julia and she checked to see if an update was provided regarding my concerns. Julia informed me that Kimesha did leave a note but no update regarding compensation from Eliana. After planning this trip to celebrate multiple birthdays, I am extremely disappointed in my experience with Bahia principe and feel like my experience in Jamaica was a waste of time and money. Although the resort is extremely beautiful, the attitudes of most staff are rude and dismissive, the food was tasteless and cold, and the all inclusive amenities advertised are deceptive. There were dead cockroaches outside my room. I am overall dissatisfied and disappointed with Bahia Principe. At this point my family and I would not be returning to Bahia Principe. Outside of Julia, Kimesha and Berlin in house keeping the staff at the resort were not sensitive to our needs and made no effort to address our concerns . After submitting this complaint to customer service, they only patronized me and dismissed my concerns. No compensation was suggested or offered. This was the response from customer service: "We strive every day to uphold the high standards of service and hospitality that define us, and we are truly concerned that these circumstances have affected your perception of our hotel. Your feedback is highly valued, and we take it seriously as it reflects our commitment to both our brand and our guests. We continually use your comments to improve our resort. On behalf of the Management and staff, we would like to express our sincere thanks for choosing to stay with us at Bahia Principe Jamaica Resorts." Respectfully yours," I would have been okay if they offered some kind of care and concern for our poor experience. I would have taken some kind of service on the resort but was not given the opportunity because the Customer Service manager on site never contacted me or filed a report while we were there. I would not recommend anyone stay here if they want their concerns dismissed and pushed under the rug. I am truly dissapointed.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
We have been at this resort 9 times! We came back for the beach , it has a beautiful beach. But like anything that does not keep up its standards it will fail in the long run. Well the long run has come and past. I would strongly recommend you still past this resort. It’s done. The staff now have a thing at the eating area. They put class of people they think will be good tippers in certain sections. And they demand or ask why you didn’t tip them. The whole resort itself is rundown. The rooms are horrible . The rooms on our floor could not be secured because the locks were so old. They shut down services because their numbers were down and didn’t offer an explanation. One of the outside buffets was shut down because of the health department. The food. Omg the food was absolutely horrible. Hardly any fruit and what they did have came from a can!! IN JAMACIA !! lol. The morning we were leaving we had staff knocking at our door at 7am trying to get us to leave the room. Please from someone who once thought that this place was the place to go, please find another spot . You work hard for your money and want to experience Jamaica, just don’t do it here. You will not like it. 😎

Would give another visit the negative can be easily remedied
Wide variety of food but presentation very poor soup bowls always missing the tables always missing cups or utensils. Public restroom has roaches.room very large and clean bed and pillows comfortable andi appreciate that the refrigerator in the room has water beers and soda and is restocked daily if used.

Needs work and menu considerations.
The Grand looks tired. Mirrors need to be replaced, sinks need work. Otherwise ok but really just a 3.5…. 3.75 maybe. Not enough variety chances day to day for buffet. Not like Mexico where there seemed to be a different theme daily. Not told at check-in that certain areas were closed, would have appreciated that.
