The negatives outweighs positives
It’s a very old hotel with very poor cheap renovations and ikea furnishings! Location is a ten - great partial views we had room 3302. Elevators very slow and always packed stopping all floors several times. Pool deck very sad looking and only one spa. Small crowded pool. Room wise; it’s big and spacious, but all tiled floors ( slippery), kitchenette from the 1940’s untouched, bathroom renovated with ikea cabinets and no bath tub. More ikea decorating in the bedroom …. Has good tv and reception and we used kitchen twice- all good there. Very rough paint job and styling yuk ( like I said straight outa ikea) I know these things as I’m an interior designer!! Cheap and nasty. It needs a thorough reno and injection of much funding to bring it up to scratch. Parking is costly it was $40 a day over 6 days. Staff very pleasant especially bell captain Carlton. They messed up our room booking on arrival ( the room was occupied) and gave us a discount. Leaking air con on the balcony I found on entering was addressed quickly. Overall they could do oh so so much better that they do; it’s a shame. Great location short walk the beach. Sadly goes down hill from there

Beware-terrible !
Beware—this room is outdated and poorly maintained. The rooms are run-down with old, dark, and dirty carpets, stained curtains, and minimal amenities. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, and the sofa bed is nothing but springs. The kitchen is barely stocked, making it inconvenient for extended stays. On top of that, expect a steep daily resort fee and minimal housekeeping, even after a five-day stay. and $43 a day for parking While I love the Waikiki Banyan and its fantastic location, I highly recommend booking through VRBO for a better room instead of using Aston for a much better experience. Not worth the price!

The Waikiki Banyan is a classic Waikiki experience
The Waikiki Banyan is a classic Waikiki experience, with a prime location and a vibrant social atmosphere. However, potential renters should be aware of a significant drawback: some units still permit smoking. This can be a deal-breaker for many, especially those with sensitivities or families. The building offers standard amenities like laundry facilities, a convenience store, and parking (though parking can be expensive). Many units offer stunning ocean views, Diamond Head, or the city skyline. However, the presence of smoking units is a significant concern. If you're sensitive to smoke, you'll need to be extremely diligent in confirming the smoking policy of any unit you consider. If you can secure a non-smoking unit and you are looking for a social atmosphere, the Waikiki Banyan may be a good option. Be sure to research individual units thoroughly and read recent reviews to clearly understand what to expect.

nice Hotel and Service
Nice, large ocean view, one bedroom on higher floor with fully working kitchen. Very nice staffs. it is a very large hotels with many floors (38 floors for each of the two towers). however, there are only limited number or elevators and some of them were under repaired. Had to spend a considerable amount of time waiting for elevator.

Very drab room. Bathroom wasn't very clean. Hairs on bathroom floor upon check in. Elevators were the slowest. Average wait time 10-20 minutes and then a longer wait because the cars were full. The pool is surrounded by cement. No plants to be found. I mean, throw a palm tree or 2 in a pot at least. When we checked out, there was a sign posted that pool is down for maintenance the last week of February. Very unfortunate for those staying that week. Good location for walking to most sights in Waikiki.
