You'll stay in one of five upscale condominium communities that comprise the resort, each with its own distinctive style. Your suite evokes the relaxed lifestyle of the Islands and includes a fully equipped kitchen and private lanai.
Each community also features a pool, jet spa, and barbecue area. A half-mile garden pathway winds through the resort, leading to spectacular beaches on both ends. To the west is Poipu Beach, considered one of the best beaches in the world. On the opposite end is Shipwreck Beach, ideal for surfing, fishing, and hiking.
Aston at Poipu Kai is conveniently located near dining, shopping, golf, activities, and attractions. Kauai's South Shore offers guests a wide variety of activity choices including kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, ATV tours, ocean cruises, helicopter rides, and much more.

General Policies & Fine Print
Check-in Policy:
Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.
Late Check-in Policy (Guests arriving after 8pm):
Guests arriving after 8pm, must use the telephone outside the hotel's front office to reach the call center. The operator will verify the guests' details and provide the security code for the safe to retrieve their key and directions to their condo. The following
morning, guests must follow-up with the front desk to complete their registration and obtain keys to the swimming pool. This procedure is displayed by the telephone outside the front office.
Convention Policy:
Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.
Hotel Spring Break Policy:
This hotel cannot guarantee a spring-break-free environment.

Sep 16, 2024BE careful of what you are told and given , ask about the AC and also the stairs !
1> Aston at Poipu Kai is a property management company and not a hotel chain 2> We booked an airbnb type of accommodations with Aston . The main aim was to take part in the Kauai Marathon and we wanted to stay somewhere close by 3> The apt we got was a disaster . The temperature and humidity was so high during the week .The marathon was on September 1st. There was no air-condition thro the apt , only a portal ac was kept in the bedroom which barely cooled the place . The fans in the room barely rotate , just circulating the hot air! When we bought that to the attention of the management , they said that "oh we are a NON AC property management company" which is totally baseless, this is Kauai!!!! , It is not mentioned at all in the website! So we were not able to use the front room , kitchen or anything else except the bedroom due to the heat and humidity 4> The apt given was on level 1 and stairs to that were too steep, We had to carry our luggage up the stairs!!! If this was the deal then we should have been told upfront about it , we could have chosen something else more comfortable We stayed at the KAHALA 1901 Poipu Road, Unit 922 , posting this here so that it helps folks decide ! We also found a dairy which mentioned this air-condition issue way back in 2019!!! Also pls note that we paid 880 dollars for two days!!! 440 for single day with no air conditioning! Making it the most expensive rentals ever!!!! Having said this the front desk person Kaysha and John(the maintenance person) were very customer friendly and helpful. They provided us with two fans which did not help at all In a nutshell be careful of what you are given , ask about the AC and also the stairs ! There is no use of having a big apt if you can use only the bedroom and have to carry your luggage thro steep stairs

Do not book this place through priceline, we were charged 100$/day in additional resort fees (Which includes taxes and fees) even though Priceline charged us fees and taxes on their website already. Priceline is scamming you. We enjoyed our stay but 180$ cleaning fee is ridiculous.

Only 1 room had air conditioning insufficient to cool the entire unit. Great location, close to 2 different beaches, hiking, and shopping. We saw turtles and surfers!

Surprise stay from many povs
Can be a wonderful depending on which unit you get. The prices are a surprise and can be unpleasant due to the many additional charges and taxes

There was no one there to check me in, and it took me 30 minutes to figure out how to get the room key from the lockbox. The worst part was that the instructions for accessing the room were distorted, cumbersome, and incomprehensible. I was told to get the keys from the lockbox in front of the room. If I had known it would be such a hassle to check in, I would not have booked the hotel. I booked over the phone, and the quoted amount was lower than what I ended up paying. The resort fee only included the swimming pool and nothing else. Unexpected charges of $100 each appeared on my credit card on multiple days. When I called the hotel, they said their system was down and promised to call me back, but no one did, leaving me anxious. I will never return to this place. While the location and room were great, the service was terrible. No additional pillows were provided, and there was an extra charge for everything, even an additional fan. The AC was only in one room, and if you asked for another, there was an additional charge. I went to celebrate my child's birthday, but they had to sleep without AC.I booked two bedroom but ac is only in one. This place is not worth the price .
