Reviews and Comments for Aqua Skyline at Island Colony Post pending word of mouth: I rented it on VacationRental for 11 days. The room is not big, but I'm glad it was maintained. Probably renting a room of this level at waikiki is not possible with this amount. Just what if the bed in my rented room is so high that I fall asleep?? There it is. I'm anxious. He has a good taste for the tableware in his room and is anxious about what to do if he breaks it. He snorted 50¢ tableware at Ala Moana's Target... It is close to everywhere, the elevators are quick, the receptionists are kind, and there are no negatives.

Feb 27, 2025Beware of "smoke free property" description.
Our troubles started immediately we checked into our room. It was the room was not cleaned at all after the last guest. Bed linen and towels has stains, and there were hair strands in the washroom sink. They came and did a complete clean up the following day. Despite being advertised as a "smoke free property", we were constantly exposed to cannabis smoke from the apartment right below ours. I was having headaches and my spouse was constantly nauseous. We planned a one week vacation, but this hotel was ruining it for us. We complained to reception several times. Initially, we didn't know where the smoke was coming from but we eventually had a visual of the individual on the balcony right below ours. I believe they sent security to chat with this individual once or twice but the smoke didn't stop. We were advised it's not a non-smoking property. "the rooms are non-smoking but the lanai are not non-smoking". Apparently, this individual was within his right to smoke. We demanded to be moved to another room which eventually occurred. Of course, the move took a half day of our vacation time. It was not the experience we had anticipated. We decided to leave out actual room numbers in this review.

Terrible!!!
Price was great but that is about it. The lifts were quite fast and no long waits but that is where it ends. The pictures on the website made the rooms look great but very old. My bed and pillows were extremely hard, the air con was so loud I couldn't sleep with it on and couldn't leave balcony door open due to the constant noise outside. I found roaches in my room and took one down to reception, the lady apologied but that does get rid of them. My tissue box was full of bugs and they kept coming out from the bathroom sink. The garbage disposal in the kitchen sink stopped working and the smell was terrible. There was not a plug for the kitchen sink!! I had to heat up a cup of water in the microwave to have a cup of tea. The rooms really need updating they are very old. On the plus side the shower was great, after stepping into a big bath, which filled with water while showering. Very disappointing. Will not be staying again.

Very nice hotel. Was on the top floor. A few mishaps but nothing too big that I wouldn't recommend or stay again. Pool area was fun except you have to use a key to get out of the pool you used a key to get into. you can see the fireworks as well depending on the side you are on. Overall it was a nice place to just comeback and crash. The AC worked great.

Sep 22, 2024If you're just looking for a view, fine.
It's been 5 years since I've been in Hawaii, and this hotel has been here for 5 years. Last time I was in a room on the 39th floor with the best view and the room was well, but this time I was surprised to see that the curtains of my room were dirty and torn and crumpled after being assigned the 25th floor. I'm patient that the pandemic must have made it difficult to run the business. It's a pity they don't even have free water to collect the Resort fee.
