Disappointed
As a frequent hotel stayer, I was disappointed with this hotel. 1. The bathroom is very small, the toilets seems to be squeezed into the smallest of spaces. I dont know how anyone tall or large can even use this. 2. The car park is close, but was informed it's not safe. 3. The sofa bed was terrible ! Could feel the springs on the mattress. 4. The phone nor the TV worked in my room. I had the call reception from my mobile phone. Doesn't seem like a marriot group hotel, they don't give the 15% breakfast discount for being a gold elite member, 2 stars as the staff were friendly, I asked for extra bedding, was sent immediately to make the sofa bed more comfortable, and they sent me Kit Kat to the room for Free. !.. Breakfast was Okay, standard as expected. However, I wouldn't stay here again. Overpriced for what it is. Felt really "robbed" when i left. Should have stayed the marriot piccadilly so much of a better hotel. Only giving 2 star due to good staff.

Excellent, we will be back
We stayed here in April upon arrival we received a nice and friendly welcome, our bedroom and the whole hotel was immaculately clean, very spacious and comfy room, very quiet. The staff all gave us amazing customer service and are a credit to the hotel.

Wouldn't rush back
The AC Marriott hotel boasts an attractive design and is conveniently located near the city center alongside providing a good breakfast, which are definite highlights of the stay. However, our experience was marred by a series of disappointments. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that staff training needs significant improvement. The receptionist was unable to confirm if we had breakfast included and responded with "I don't know" when asked. In most hotels, this information is usually verified and communicated promptly. The cleanliness of our room was another major issue. We discovered cigarette ends on the floor, likely having fallen from the window when we opened. Upon reporting this to the cleaner, the response was dismissive, with a comment that windows are not checked. Additionally, we found a flossing stick in the bathroom, to which the cleaner's reaction was an unprofessional exclamation "Oh sh*t". The overall lack of cleanliness, with dust evident throughout, was disappointing. The tv also doesn’t work properly and glitches every 2 minutes. To top it off, we had to move rooms ourselves since no cleaners were available after our 4 pm check-in, and no assistance was offered during the transition. On the brightside the following day a different man and woman were working and provided better service, alongside the breakfast staff being super. Overall will not be rushing back here and would go back to our usual Edwardian as it’s far superior.

Started walking up to my room 111 walked in there was a man in the room the man at the front desk had given me a room that was already in use felt very unsafe and as a young female I didn't know what to do it. Sorted that out and proceeded to go down to breakfast the next morning I asked a staff member where the break fast was since I Paid for it he proceeded to shout at me " what is your room number its is over there " extreamly rude with another 3 staff members stood behind him looking at me in disgust no one stepped in to say calm down or anything, I then went home, checked out at 10:30 that evening I rang up about a charger I had left in my room this was my MacBook charger cost me £50 , the man on the phone said there is nothing here but I knew I had left I in the wall he then proceeded to say "the staff members don't take things its not there I dont know what u want me to do" 100% the staff had taken it DISGUSTING as a young women I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable I don't know how they can treat there guests like this.

The staff are a huge asset to this hotel
I can’t rate this hotel highly enough. We arrived from Ireland and stayed 3 nights. Check in was fast and efficient. The rooms were spotless. Staff in both the bar and restaurant were excellent. They could not do enough for us. They were especially kind to our 3 boys. Every morning they gave the boys a treat after their breakfast. They made a great effort to chat away to us about where we were from and how our holiday was going every day. On the last day of our stay the chef made more donuts for our boys as there were not any left at the buffet. They really went out of their way throughout all of our holiday. In general we enjoyed our stay in Manchester and our trip to the etihad stadium. The hotel definitely stands out as one of the highlights of our visit. We will definitely visit again.
