Welcome to Bora Bora

Celebrated as a romantic haven of unbridled beauty, the island boasts a translucent lagoon, lush mountains, and overwater bungalows. Engage in world-class water activities like diving, snorkeling, or kiteboarding or just lounge under a palm and take in the stunning view. Check Bora Bora out for yourself and see why this storied island is beloved by all who visit.

What to Do in Bora Bora

  • Stellar Stargazing

Light pollution is rampant in much of the world, these days, but Bora Bora is one of the few places where you can you still marvel at an unhampered view of the Milky Way and its many twinkling stars. If the weather’s right, book a sunset cruise that will take you even further from it all, to a tiny island where there is virtually no manmade light to interfere. Tour operators can help you identify constellations and teach about ancient Polynesian navigation by the stars.
  • Island Tours

Bora Bora has a fascinating history and unique geological makeup that merits exploration, and you can do so by land (on 4x4s, with a verified tour operator), sea (via small boat tours), or air, (by helicopter)! Take in the stunning landscape made up of a volcano rim, old WWII battlements, plantations, and dense tropical forests. The waters around Bora Bora are second to none, as well, so enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime views!
  • Swim with Sharks and Rays

With some of the world’s most picturesque lagoons to choose from, Bora offers unmatched opportunities for snorkeling, and your adventure will likely be rewarded with amazing opportunities to mix and mingle with local marine life. Several operators run snorkeling tours in Bora Bora and can put you face to face with leopard rays (and sometimes eagle and manta rays), blacktip and lemon sharks, oh my! Definitely bring an underwater camera for this one.
