The Itinerary
Your experience starts on an air-conditioned, luxury limo bus before setting off on the 52-mile journey on the Road to Hana. The Hana Highway navigates over 600 curves, passes over 50 single-lane bridges, drives through bamboo jungles and eucalyptus forests, and makes stops in Waianapanapa and Kaumahina State Parks.
Your stops in the state parks give you time to explore trails, natural pools, and black sand beaches as well as a chance to take in the impressive views at Keanae Valley Lookout. You will make another stop in the plantation-turned-surf town of Paia. This colorful, quaint community boasts beautiful white sand beaches, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and of course, Hawaiian shaved ice shops!
Paia is the last town on the highway before Hana, so it will be the last stop to grab food and drinks before continuing on. You’ll be able to sit back, relax, and listen to your educated guide share the stories and folklore behind the infamous Heavenly Hana.
