Vacation should be full of fun, stress-free moments. If you’re worried about getting sick, it can really put a damper on your good times. But not to worry! We’ve got some simple steps to stay safe while enjoying every second of your getaway. Read on for some smart, responsible ways to protect yourself, your loved ones, and those around you during your stay.

Carry Multiple Masks

We always bring several changes of clothes with us on vacation, right? That shirt you wore the day before isn’t really something you’d want to reach for the next day, especially if it was looking less than fresh. The same principle can be applied to your masks. Bringing multiples allows you to wear a clean one every day. But remember – you never want to throw all of your masks into one pile, since that can cause cross-contamination. When you’re done with one, place it into a plastic Ziploc bag until you can clean and reuse it.

Limit Touchpoints

When you’re on vacation, you really want to focus on having a good time and not about touching that pen at the front desk or reaching for a few dollars before you start eating your lunch. Keep yourself safe by bringing your own pens, water bottles, touchless payment methods (like credit cards) and other items that you may find useful while you’re away.

Bring Sanitizer

This is probably something you haven’t left home without in a while, so It may sound like second nature to bring hand sanitizer with you. Opt for one with at least 60% alcohol to kill anything that may be lingering on your hands. Having a few different sizes will also give you more options. Travel sizes are great for things like plane rides and excursions, while bigger bottles are great to have in your room.

You’ll also want to bring disinfecting wipes to clean off any surfaces that may seem questionable, especially airline tray tables, remote controls, faucet and door handles, and light switches.

Now that you know some simple steps to keep yourself safe, you can enjoy yourself to the fullest while on vacation. Haven’t booked yours yet? Check out these amazing sun and sand destinations
