Best Resort in Huatulco!
I highly recommend Secrets Huatulco! Room - spacious, 6 nice sized drawers, closet has about 14 hangers, bed is comfortable Bathroom - tub/shower combo in a room with a glass door, toilet in a separate room with a frosted glass door and wall - not super private, double vanities Restaurants - no reservations required (except for the Japanese grill), which can be a pro or a con. Pro - no need to be somewhere at a specific time, but con in that you may have to wait a while for a table. There isn't always an evening buffet so the a la cartes are your only option. Castaways is fantastic for lunch! The beach grill makes the best burgers! Get there early for guacamole and chips though. Beach - quite a large bay with good snorkeling on the one end. Always lots of chairs available. Take the path through the jungle to visit "secret" beach for a spectacular sunrise! Pools - lots of chairs available and a really nice free-form pool Sports - with kayaks, paddleboards, catamarans, beach volleyball, pickleball, tennis, ping pong, and billiards there was always something to do! Bars - not open super late, and the quality of drinks varied from bar to bar and bartender to bartender. If you specifically request a top-shelf liquor you will get a good drink though.

Over rated, over priced, management should take a look at how Scenic do it!!!!
My wife and I had been to Hualtulco 7 times previously, but had never stayed at Secrets. Their policy of "no children" sealed it for us, along with the promise of "Five Star" service. On arrival, check-in was chaotic to say the least, but eventually we got to our room, to say it was disappointing would be an understatement, it was clean, yes, but drab and dated. The bathroom was poorly lit - possibly to hide the missing or defective grouting around the bath and shower surrounds. After a shower we made our way to one of the "classier"restaurants - Bordeaux - Secret's version of a French Restaurant. An unmitigated disaster! Calamari in a mustard sauce so undercooked as to be totally inedible! This was a theme that was to be repeated on 3 visits to Bordeaux. Secrets website state that guests will have "unlimited International wines" - what they do not say is that you will pay a grossly inflated price for those wines. The wines served at every meal in every restaurant are mediocre Chilean or Argentinian table wines, and are limited to 2 Reds, 1 white and 1 Rose! To cut this short I will say that Secrets and it's owners Hyatt Regency Group are attempting to sell a Five Star property but barely, and just barely making 3 Stars! The one saving memory of our vacation was the staff - just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! Never without a smile, unfailingly cheerful and polite, so helpful and willing to go that extra mile - they deserve better employers!

A great trip away in an awsome location!
We love the area and of the hotels in the area this is probably the best option. It has a great beach and the entertainment staff are wonderful! Alejandro (one of the entertainment staff) is just fantastic! He is so helful and a lot of fun! We always look forward to seeing him!

Everything you should need in an all inclusive
Pleasantly surprise how quiet it was for an adults only resort. Certainly none of the kid noises but everyone was relaxed and just enjoying themselves. Rooms all face the ocean. Resort is very clean and staff are very friendly. Ocean was swimmable everyday although a couple days supposed to avoid the middle. Expect most of the food in the buffet to not be hot if it is sitting but wide enough selection that you should find something. Great night shows with incredibly talented dancers. Something took awhile to figure out that there is indeed a night buffet with casual dress but it changes location every night.

Secrets didn’t disappoint
Overall a great resort, our second time there as we went the same time (Nov) last year. The location is spectacular and its secluded bay offers easily the best beach of any resort we have been to and we have been to many all over the Caribbean and Mexico. The food is best in class for the price point of the stay. Rooms are very nice we were in preferred and all resort rooms are ocean view. All the people there are gracious and accommodating, too many great people to list but here are the top standouts in no particular order: Zara our UVC representative Angel also from UVC Luis our waiter from Spice Last but certainly not least Daniel from Cocco Cafe All super people, we stayed 7 nights would have liked to stay 10 but WestJet out of Toronto only flies in and out on Fridays. Overall a great holiday only two minor annoyances to speak of, firstly our bar fridge didn’t work well, asked for maintenance to come but it never got any better, so no cold drinks in our room luckily a bar was not far away from our room. Judging by the rust on the fridge door I think it was past its prime and didn’t understand why they just didn’t swap it out. Secondly while housekeeping does a fantastic job of cleaning our room they just don’t do it every day despite ensuring our red light ( do not disturb) is off. We ran into this on our previous visit a year ago and went 4 days without the room being made up not a tremendous deal for us but it is for some people and it didn’t stop us from coming back This time they missed 2 days and Secrets are suppose to offer a turndown service in the evening , they only came once. It appears to me they are under staffed in this department as I see them at 8am around the resort and still see the same people working away at 8pm every day. This is an issue the resort needs to address as I see they are over staffed in some other departments
