The spa was very well kept, the staff was kind, my massage therapist Angel was mindful of my injuries and did well. They had beverages available! The steam room, hot tub & hydrotherapy was such a great ending! Overall an awesome experience and recommend everyone to try it!

Good times down in Mexico
Spent a week down here at Sandos Caracol in the adults only select club. Water park was a blast. Alejandro made us some amazing drinks at the beach bar. Overall an amazing experience and plan to make another visit. I guess I need 24 more characters for this review.

Alejandro is great!
Alejandro was a very good bartender and made delicious drinks 🍹 Beautiful location, drinks, atmosphere, very good service and very clean bathrooms. Would highly recommend the services of Alejandro at the adults only beach club, he was very nice.

May 07, 2025Stay away, unless you want food poisoning and a horrible time
Bad experience at Sandos Carocal Eco, and do not recommend this resort to any guest. Big concern is lack of food safety throughout the property, as well as poor management and run-down operations. - Got food poisoning from Laguna, and met several other guests who got sick here too. - Found shredded cardboard inside my meal at another restaurant. - Buffets also allow wild animals to crawl all over the food, this was prevalent at La Jungla. - Check-in and check-out process is incredibly slow and inefficient. - After check in, our room card didn't work. Had to go back to concierge to reprogram. - The resort app is very buggy. You can't log in without making an additional trip to the concierge - We got assigned a lesser category room than we booked & paid for. They offered a complimentary hydrotherapy session and promised a refund after I inquired. The resort now refused to issue the refund, and I couldn't use the spa due to aforementioned food poisoning. - Property is very dated and run down, especially guest rooms. No soap (hand soap or otherwise) was available in our room, had to have room service deliver.

Great resort with excellent staff and activities
We loved our stay at caracol eco resort and would definitely recommend. The variety of activities were great and the scenery was incredible. All of the workers were helpful and welcoming however, Victor who was mainly based at the sports bar and Victor on the entertainment team were exceptionally hospitable. Victor on the bar was always upbeat and friendly. He personalises his service and is a great example of what a barman should be. Victor on the entertainment team really made our trip. His presence around the pool and during his activities really lifts the mood and engages holiday goers. The atmosphere on his day off differed and we missed having his personality and care around. He is asset to the caracol eco resort team. Negatives about the resort are that the pool side is extremely slippery and there were multiple falls daily by a variety of ages. Also, due to the lovely greenery the pool had lots of leaves and dirt from the trees which didn’t seem to be cleaned or removed as it was constantly dirty.
