I love Royalton Punta Cana
Royalton Punta Cana is a 10 out of 10. We got married at this hotel, and Mairelyn De la Rosa was our wedding coordinator. She was amazing — very professional, kind, and extremely detail-oriented. We loved the way she treated us and made our day unforgettable. I encourage everyone to get married at this hotel."

Highly recommend Diamond Club and Butler Beras
Beras was our butler during our first visit to Royalton Splash Punta Cana with friends in March 2024. We have been back twice since then, once as a couple for our anniversary and just a few weeks ago as a group of seventeen. We requested him both of those vacations. He was amazing and so accommodating! He set up all of our dinners so we didn't have to worry about that the entire vacation. He checked in on us a few times daily to ensure we were taken care of. He greeted everyone in our group of seventeen by name. We can't say enough good things about Beras! We will definitely request him again for any future vacations to this resort, and we will definitely be back!

Not your typical Royalton resort
The resort is nice itself but the service is not what a royalton should be at. I've been to many royaltons and this is by far the worst one I've been too. We went with 48 guests for our wedding and I was not expecting there to be that many complaints towards the resort. The food is good and so is the beach and pool. Our butler Antonio was fantastic and went above and beyond for us to make sure we had everything we needed. So thank you to Antonio you're truly one of a kind. Our wedding coordinator Mairelyn was absolutely terrible. Did not care one bit about the wedding and refused to do the simplest requests for us. On the wedding night she would have everything done at once because she didnt want to be there late after we requested certain things at specific times so it would flow better. She never writes anything down and works off of it from the top of her head. The buffet is nice but once it starts to get really busy they get rid of one of the chefs and go down to 1 instead of 2 so the lineups for omelets and certain meats and pastas get rather long and it takes so time to wait until your turn. I also noticed staff was eating in the buffet when there would be no plates and glasses available for guests. Some people also noticed certain lifeguards day drinking in the cabanas on the beach while children were swimming in the ocean. I had a coupon for a cabana and when we checked out it was like pulling teeth ti get them to add the discount as well and they were refusing. After a while they did apply it. They also have a few restaurants on site but be aware that they make you buy bottles of wine in order to gain access to specific ones like hunters the steakhouse and you need to pay to get into el Dorado. So this typically isn't the royaltons we're accustomed too. Antonio was fantastic and the food but once again Mairelyn the wedding coordinator and overall service was terrible.

Double Charged and Horrible Service
Prior to arriving at the property we were sent an email to pre check in to expedite the process; after several different attempts that did not work. Ok not a huge deal but fast forward to checking in, we were the only family in line and it took them more than 30 minutes to check us in. We were told that we needed to pay for the room; however we paid for the entire stay upon booking months in advance. After insisting that we had to pay again and even though we provided proof of original payment they said that original amount would be refunded and that we had to pay again that day. After speaking with the manger they said it would be refunded within 5 business days. If it is not I will be disputing the charge (currently on day 3 and no refund yet). After a long day of travel and so far not a great experience we headed to eat and then a quick swim before the pool closed. The sign said the pool closed at 7pm someone came over to me and my son at 6:54pm and said pools closed you need to get out. Upon returning to our room to shower and get ready for the evening show we found there were no towels in our room so once again we are having to wait for something that should have already been done. The next day at the waterpark was again a complete nightmare. My son with additional needs was told he could not ride the smaller water slides “because he was too tall”. He was right at the heigh requirement for the smaller area. They said he had to use the larger water slides which were a bit took large and scary for him. We went to the larger water slides only to be told he was too short for those slides so now we are being told two different stories. The head lifeguard Wander came over to talk to me and was very rude and said he could not ride the smaller slides and that was the rule. After going round and round trying to explain the situation I asked to speak to someone above him and finally after lots of waiting a guests services person came over and pretty much said the same thing as Wander. They would not allow my son to use the smaller slides and he could only use two slides in the entire waterpark. Unfortunately trying to keep him limited to the two slides did not work well and we ended up leaving. Services in the Selections Buffett were just as bad. Serval times for breakfast, lunch and dinner we were never asked for a drink order and one time we were asked they never brought it and our dinner was over and we left. Towels are another very hard thing to come by at this property; no matter what time of day I tried to get towels they told me No or they were out. There is zero customer service at this property and I was highly disappointed from start to finish. I would not recommend staying here unless you are ok with rude staff and zero customer service. We have typically had a good experience with Royalton in the past but after this experience we maybe done with this brand for the foreseeable future.

Butler was the best at the resort, not the rooms
Antonio Castillo did a great job as our butler. He helped with our reservation and made our trip smooth as possible. However when we got there our room was not ready which we had to wait until after 5pm get finally get a room that was damaged. We were moved to another room only for it to have mold all through the bathroom and walls. The rooms suites are small like regular rooms. See the pictures of the mold and mildew. The butler was the best out of the entire trip... 5 🌟 other than that the resort get only 2 🌟.
