Overall good experience . Food and drinks were great ! We loved the silent disco night and fire show. The buffet had a great food selection servers were attentive and really made my daughter feel special for her birthday. Overall solid experience for the party of 15. Would recommend.

Fantastic stay - honestly some of the best value I've ever gotten for my money at a resort! The facilities are very nice and newly renovated. The rooms are bright, and very comfortable. The beach is gorgeous, large, and is very swimmable. Staff were very friendly throughout the resort! Kelvin at the lobby bar is an absolute gem - the sort of staff member that really goes above and beyond - a truly hospitable person. Also, Alturo at the desk handled our check-in process. He was wonderful - he kept us informed until our room was ready, then he wasn't happy with that room when he checked it prior to giving us the bracelets, so he changed our room and walked us there. He had already had the couch pulled out because we needed three beds, and requested extra towels for us without us asking! Incredible service that really set the tone for our stay. The food is great - lots of selection. The overall campus is impressive and the golf cart transit lines are a very cool way to get around the place! Also, the Matum show is incredible - probably the best resort show I've ever seen. Well done! There was literally nothing that we found lacking. It was a tremendous stay!

Absolutely worth every penny
This resort in every way was exceptional! The room's, bed & pillows were super comfy! The meals were top notch, from prime rib, fresh seafood, rib steaks, fresh salads, fruit, breads and amazing desserts! The staff were super friendly! The nightlife performances were thoroughly enjoyed and the entertainment staff were a delight, especially Erik and Hector! The beach was absolutely gorgeous and the staff did such a superb job cleaning daily, picking up garbage and straightening the lounges. The only downside was people saving lounges and not using them until late late afternoon, when so many people were looking for lounges. We were in the Luxury Esmeralda but the other resorts were lovely as well.

The worst vacation of my life! I got bitten by bed bugs, the language issue is a big problem, the employees are not friendly at all and you ate the same food every night at the buffet. Very difficult to get reservations at the other restaurants. Will never return to the Dominican Republic!

Hard to beat
Well, where do I begin. This resort exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The staff were incredible, the shows were top notch, the quality and selection of food and restaurants you will never find anywhere else. We had access to 6 of the 7 resorts in the compound and there is so much to do that you can never get bored. We are a couple in our 40s and although the resort is not adults only, we always enjoyed ourselves. We did spend time at Ambar which is the adults only resort, but preferred the Esmeralda to stay at. The buffets are next level and they do so many different items to order, pasta to order, steaks to order, tacos to order…. Unreal. We have decided that this is the only resort we need. So many pools and so much beach space to choose from. And did I mention the staff were incredible… PS - we cannot understand how anyone could leave a bad review with this resort, makes absolutely no sense at all. Thanks Bahia Principe!
