NOT a 5 star resort!
Very poor for a five star hotel. More like a three star. How did they get awarded 5 stars? Surely that’s meant to be the best there is? Food is basic and at times utterly inedible. Beach is dirty and full of litter, not the gorgeous white Caribbean sand I pictured. Staff are either really lovely or outright surly and rude. Bedrooms are VERY basic. No nice toiletries or soft towels. We were offered cocaine on the beach on our first day and had to fend off many people trying to sell us things on what was, I assumed, a private beach. Spa treatments costs are extortionate- $207 for a massage. This is my first trip to Jamaica and I am very disappointed. Will not be coming back again.

Iberostar lacks quality, service and is not 5 star
The food lacked quality, consistency and variation. The hotel was under slot of construction and the sounds of jack hammering isn't the sounds you would want to enjoy on a vacation. The hotel has a lazy river however no inflatibles are providrf and its up to guests to find one. Half way through you have to push yourself as the lazy river stops flowing. The staff is either exceptional or rude, this hotel uus more of a 3 star. The room had no working fan in the bathroom and the door of the shower was missing the strip so water pooled in the bathroom. The cafe was making drinks and serving food while they cut a hole in the ceiling and dust flew everwhere. 😳 Worst experience in Jamaica thanks to iberostar lack of service, amenities and consistency.

Amazing amazing amazing!
This was our second time at this resort. The first time for our new 3 mth old baby girl! We can’t say enough good thing about our experiences here. First of all, TANIA the manager of guest services went above and beyond to accommodate our stay- not just with our uncertainties travelling with our infant, but she made sure both my husband and I had the best time with absolutely no stress about the baby. Anything you need; iberostar will accommodate - if you get to deal with Tania directly- you are beyond lucky. The resort itself is stunning, amazing staff, clean, friendly and welcoming. Thank you, iberostar suites for another incredible and unforgettable first family trip! And thank you TANIA from the bottom of our hearts for all you’ve done for us! You are incredible.

Sulky Jerk Hut Staff needs to be trained in Service Quality
I recently stayed at the Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites Resort and had a mixed experience. Here’s a breakdown of my stay: Positives • Rooms: The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The mini-bar was stocked with beer, sodas, and juice, which was a nice touch. • Property: The resort itself was beautiful, with manicured grounds and plenty of space to lounge. It wasn’t crowded, which made it feel relaxing and peaceful. • Staff Highlights: • Front Desk: Obrian was welcoming and efficient during check-in. • Bellman: Honray (a middle-aged gentleman in long white socks) was phenomenal, ensuring our bags were handled smoothly. • Breakfast Buffet Staff: Special thanks to Jimmy and Kevorn for their friendly and attentive service. • Hibachi Restaurant: Romaine delivered excellent service during our dinner. • Lobster and Steak Restaurant: A young server from Manchester who worked on December 12 was attentive and polite. • Food: While the buffet lacked variety, the food provided was tasty overall. Negatives • Lobby: The design of the lobby is outdated and lacks aesthetic appeal. A redesign could greatly enhance the first impression of the resort. • Eco-Friendly Amenities: While the eco-friendly initiative of using glass bottles is commendable, the dispensers on the first floor didn’t work, and the ice machine was also out of order. This inconvenience detracted from the experience. • Buffet Service: The servers at the buffet were not proactive. Despite the low guest count, we often finished meals without being offered water or juice unless we explicitly called for assistance. • Jerk Hut Experience: This was the most disappointing aspect of the stay and significantly impacted our overall experience: • On December 12, the two young ladies working at the Jerk Hut were rude, dismissive, and more focused on discussing a staff party than attending to guests. The food, though well-cooked, was cold, and the service made us feel like an inconvenience. • On December 13, a male staff member at the Jerk Hut was equally rude, dismissing our questions about obtaining hot fries with an unhelpful response. We left without ordering. • When we visited the Jerk Hut at Wave later that day, the young lady there also displayed poor attitude and customer service. • Across all our visits, the Jerk Hut staff were inattentive, unfriendly, and unprofessional. This was a significant letdown and single-handedly ruined our stay. While the resort has its positives, particularly in terms of property, room cleanliness, and select staff members who provided exceptional service, the poor customer service—particularly at the Jerk Hut—overshadowed the experience. The lack of proactive service, unfriendly attitudes, and rude interactions at the Jerk Hut make it difficult to recommend this resort. There are other resorts in Jamaica with far superior service quality, and I do not plan on returning to Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites Resort.

Great Vacation- Can’t Wait to Return
We arrived on 11/27 for a 7 night stay with a group of 17 people. Kerry Kay, Javena, Laura and Saskia were very welcoming when we arrived and took great care of us. The bellboy from the Beach took us to the star prestige lounge to check in. Not all of our guests had arrived yet. But that didn’t slow them down from getting us checked in and making us feel welcomed! Star Prestige staff had our rooms ready for us and the ladies were amazing. We had to switch a few rooms up and they went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated. Krystal the bartender on the star prestige lounge was fun and made great drinks! Always smiling! We had dinner two nights at the Italian restaurant and the food was delicious! Whitney was so awesome and took such great care of us both nights we dined at Italian. We had a group of 17 and were a handful but she stepped right in and took care of our group and made us feel like family. She even saw our family the next night at Japanese and ran over to give us all a hug. She was the sweetest! We had dinner two nights at Japanese and Romain was our chef. Again, there was 17 of us and he was so good to us and we requested him the second time and he was just as good as the first and treated us like family as well. Julet was our waitress and she was awesome as well. Food was delicious! Daily at the Prestige beach area we were very well taken care of by Leroy, Kacia, Anastasia and Chad! They were fun, and welcoming each day remembering what we drank and made sure our chairs were set up and drinks flowing always with a smile on their face. They even played good music. All 17 guests enjoyed our beach days with the prestige staff. They are amazing! The pool bartenders/staff were so fun and always smiling. Earl, Oshaine and Jevon were very attentive to us, made great drinks. It’s nice to feel welcomed and seeing their smiley faces. We had Marsha Lee for our daily ambassador. She would stop by the prestige beach area to check on us to see if we needed anything. She was so sweet and very helpful. Suzanne was the afternoon ambassador and oh my goodness did she go above and beyond and make sure every detail of our evenings were perfect. She would deliver our wine we selected to dinner and always had a big smile on her face. Even if it was a last minute request. Taking care of 17 people at once can be challenging and she was so amazing. We wanted to tour the grand so Kerry Kay took us on a nice tour. She is so fun and we just love her. Always smiling and attentive to us! She is like family! Javena was also fun and we had nice visits with her when we hung out in prestige lounge. The spa staff was wonderful! Welcoming each day and there was not a bad massage. All very relaxing! We loved every minute of our stay! The food, staff and resort is amazing. Our room was nice and cold and nice! The resort is a very lovely resort with so many amazing workers. If you haven’t been here you must book! The food is good and many options. Candiece and Yeni were also amazing. Trevaughn was always so happy to take us to and from the selections and Beach. He was so fun! I know I am probably missing names, so many wonderful staff striving to do their best and make our vacation a memorable one! I can’t say enough positive things about everyone. Can’t wait to come back and see all the wonderful staff who made us feel like family. As Kerry Kay would call us… Jamericans😁❤️.
