    BEWARE!!!

As retired guests looking for a peaceful retreat, we flew in excited for a relaxing 5 night stay at this timeshare hotel. Unfortunately, our experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Upon arrival, we faced a painful 1 hour wait in the lobby, where we heard many other guests expressing their frustrations. The atmosphere felt anything but welcoming. Once we finally checked into our room, we were immediately hit with relentless noise from the jacuzzi, water slide, and pool right outside our slider. It was the exact opposite of the calm escape we were hoping for. We have HIGH stressful jobs and came to Maui for a quiet reprieve. To make things worse, the cleanliness of our room was unacceptable, with mildew covering the shower. This is not the standard we expect from Marriott. When we contacted the front desk and Marriott directly to request a quieter room, our request was rejected. This trip has been a significant letdown, far from the getaway we imagined. We feel misled and strongly recommend against booking a vacation package here. Save yourself the hassle and consider a different hotel that genuinely cares about guest comfort.

Might be our Best Vacation Ever!

We travel throughout Europe and elsewhere, we LOVE this hotel! The location, spotless grounds, friendliness of the staff spaciousness of the 1BR units were superb. There were a lot of kids at the pool but all was quiet by 9 pm. They even had local crafters on Tues and Fri mornings.

    Do-it-yourself Westin

Property can be good as long as you know what you’re signing up for. Pros: * Location is amazing. The beach is rated #1 in Maui and did not disappoint. Soft sand, minimal waves, and some great snorkeling. * Valet and bellmen were absolutely on it * The property is extremely well maintained. From room, to interior, to the grounds, and pool…meticulous. * Pool was great. Never struggled to find a chair, water was perfect temp, and great water slide for the kiddo. * Grills available all over the property, including ocean view. Really enjoyed cooking steaks one night. Cons: * Lack on consistency is an understatement. Cocktails were made different by every bartender. The drinks at the North restaurant were down right gross. Shout out to Nick who was amazing every time he served us! * Food was mediocre at best * No pool service, have to walk to the restaurant for food and drinks * Housekeeping - nonexistent. We stayed 5 nights and morning of Day 3 inquired why the room hadn’t been cleaned. They shared that they would come that day and Day 5 (seemed weird if it was only twice one would be last day). They ended up coming on Day 3 but the service consisted of attempting to make the bed and leaving all bagged trash and dirty towels behind. They never showed up for Day 5…so our 5 nights/6 day stay we had to take out our own trash and call and ask for clean towels (that were thrown in our room wrapped in a trash bag) We would personally not stay here again but may work out for some who are expecting the do-it-yourself type stay.

    Beautiful resort

We stayed 10 nights in 1 br ocean view. The room was spacious with full kitchen and washer/dryer. Very quiet and clean. The resort is beautiful several pools to choose from. Never had problems finding chairs. We rented beach chairs and umbrella from nearby “the snorkel store”. The beach is beautiful and had fantastic snorkeling. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and efficient.

Gorgeous, Relaxed Hotel with a Perfect Beach

This is a beautiful resort and very manageable size. The grounds are nicely maintained. We used the BBQ's several times and they were clean with gorgeous views of the ocean. The pool was nice and the adult hot tub was never packed. The beach is clean with mild waves and tons of fishes/turtles. They offer a shuttle to the Whaler's Village every 20 minutes if you want to go out for dining/shopping. Our room was really spacious (1 bedroom) with a large deck and views of the ocean and pool area. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend. Laid-back vibe.
